Did andy got drop again from breakaway and then the yellow jersey group? What's the matter with this guy? How can he chase a stage win if he keeps getting dropped from breakaway? It'll be interesting to see if Trek is still going to take him to TDF. He should start to win 1 week race first before taking on 3 weeks race.

No he shouldn't. GT's are the races that feature the most climbing in high mountains, which are his great quality.

Imo he should go for stages in shorter stage races, except for races like Catalunya, where he could actually win if he was back in shape and if the weather didn't suck so bad

Well, ha was 20 last year in TdF, been in a breakaway in the stage of Alp D Huez...He have done a better TdS than last year, so, of course he must do le Tour, he is going to be among the top 15 riders...

He was indeed with the breakaway and was dropped before the final climb.... then wasn't able to follow Panzerwagen....

I do think that maybe he didn't give it all anymore when the break was caught. He was only interested in the stage victory, that wasn't gonna happen when Costa, Mollema and Frank joined that group
Mollema, Costa and Frank are clearly in another level right now, he could explode at their pace, it is what he explain in Trek web.
Of course Morabito did the same that Andy and finished 4th, and Andy at 9 minutes,it is the difference if you are comfortable at a pace or you try to follow without the necessary strengt and you explode...

this guy just frustrates me more and more each time he gets on a bike , god knows what his team must be feeling :(

Of course, he is not riding as a rider that get 750000 euros a year...I have a friend that is getting 300 euros a month and now has similar level.. but that is not my problem...
Andy is the man that performed in Galibier as just a few people can do, and maybe he could reach that level again, but difficult
this year...

Andy was a bit below what I wished for, a top 30 on Verbier and to join the break on Sunday. If he had stayed with the leaders until the final climb, I'd be more hopeful for some modest success in the Tour. He should just soft pedal (where possible) the tour and finish in the low hundreds, do the same at la vuelta and wait for next year. Probably should have done that last year.
I still expect him to podium of course.

I seriously can't determine.if you guys are.epic trolls or just in love with a mentally broken has been/never was. The guy just needs to get off his bike, cuddle his brother and call it good. Celebrating someone's top 30 is just sad.

personally i am far from a troll , i was once a huge fan of this guy but his riding over the last 2-3 years has just tilted the **** out of me . but he does have his haters thats for sure but to be fair he has bought it all on himself .

we all gave him time after his injury to get himself back into shape and become fully fit again and that time elapsed a long time ago , we even gave him more time due to franks suspension . there is absolutely no valid reason other than being clinic related why this guys results should not be a hell of a lot better than what they are .

celebrating a top30 like its monumental progress is ridiculous , also going on off in a break is hardly something to get excited about either unless he stays out in it for longer than it takes to drink a cup of coffee .

iv tried and tried to stay loyal to this guy but my patience is now running very very thin . i would love nothing more than to see him turn everything around at the tour and get really competitive in the mountains like he use to do but its just a pipe dream isnt it and its never going to happen . he is just a faint shadow of his former self and just another statistic in the great young talent department that threw it all away .

unless miracles happen in the pyrenees and alps in july im not sure andy will have much of a future riding a bike , as iv said before "its all very sad" .

I feel exactly the way you do! Except you reference a miracle in the Alps ect. I feel he is done and can't wait till his contract is up so he can leave cycling.

so is confirmed officially that Andy won't go to the Tour.....yet?

haven't read it anywhere yet. I don't how many chances Trek will give this guy. There are a lot of guys within the team who got paid either the same or less than him , performs better so far. I wonder what Trek would do with Andy. His contract runs out this year. Is he staying or is there anyone out there wants to invest him considering there are so many 20's year old kid that got better results than him and stronger too. Even that kid chavez won galibier.

Maybe not get picked to TDF is a good waking up call for Andy? Or is he just going to hit another snooze button.

well a week race is also features good long mountain. I mean, he needs to learn how to win again. At least he can train his body to perform well in 1 week, before going to 3 weeks. He needs to go back to winning again. If a kid like chavez, who didn't even in breakaway can steal a win in Galibier at TdS, as a former best climber in the world, Andy is certainly can. If he is still good and show some sparks, he should have been finished at least top 10, not top 30? He got out climbed by young kid, that must have been devastating for him.

Funny, yet true. Andy Schleck now can't even climb as good as Tony Martin. Send him to the glue factory already.

Yeah. Schleck is just embarassing. I hope he doesn't get picked for the Tour.

Sorry, it's pretty well accepted that the guy has had some sort of mental lapse. This is the internet where opinions, predictions, criticisms, etc. fly like the wind. Unlike Andy. What's not 'classy' is a guy who needs some sort of intervention, and a flash drive with all of the Cure and Smith's greatest hits, pretending like he's a contender. Get over it: The guy is done. The best we as fans can hope for is that he gets his head straight. Short of going clinical, that's about all i have to say about him and his departure from success.

Fair enough.
