I'm a fan of Frank but there's nothing I can argue against evidence
He doesn't even seem to be in form so I can't even say: "Laugh now and cry later when he wins it"

It is clear Andy is giving up on the Tour and getting ready to try his luck at radball.

His knee motion is perfect, control looks very good and focus, well hes focused all right.

You can just imagine the ball control he can get with that.

In that pic Andy is just playing around a bit before training starts, what the hell is wrong with that. Those ''omg why is he doing that he should be doing TT'' are not needed at all. I don't get this as well. Any support (or fanboysism, or... whats an abstract noun related to "fan"?) should be full of limitless belief in your rider rather than ridiculing and denigrating of his rivals.

You still don't get it, this isn't about Contador fans and hate, this is about someone who has garned so much hype, plaudits and as you claim legendary status for a career which so far is frankly less than average.

To his name he has an LBL and a couple of Tdf stages to his name, CAS gave him the 2010 Tour as a gift and well that's it. He's NEVER won a stage race and has worked tirelessly to LOSE races ie LBL last year. He's done nothing to gain our respect.

I can think of dozens of other riders who are more deserving of our respect and fan worship than Abandony. It's about riders who excite and are worth following in the media and on TV for far more than the comedy value that the Schlecky boys provide.

Cool, go talk about your hatred for Schleck in the DEPRECIATION thread then, don't understand why Andy even has 2 threads if the haters talk about him in both. And coming 2nd in 3 GT's, a TDF victory, and a LBL victory is far above the average palmares of someone in the peloton.

He's practising his trackstand as he anticipates waiting for his team car on his next race abandonment. Ideally he should be photo'd spending time on his TT bike but I haven't seen hardly any of those. I'm sure if he were practicing like he should we'd have visual proof. Maybe I've missed it.

He doesn't look comfy on there does he, of all the riders in the peloton he's the one who just looks completely wrong on a TT bike, ithers look ungainly but Andy just looks wrong!

For those who think it's just hate, it's more about trying to find something to respect in him as a rider...so far I'm blank!

loool, the more I read this thread - the more i understand how cool Andy is!

Joking apart, Andy's position is not perfect, actually. And possibly, he's one of the riders
(like say Cunego or Valverde) for whom the dilemma perfect position/maximal application of effort is unsolvable to the full. However it won't interfere him to hit top-10 in both long TT's in the Tour. Usually Contador fans like to add after such statements "AND YOU KNOW IT!" But I don't do that.

Just imagine, Andy will win the Tour in July and we'll surely recall that he prepared exactly the same like he did in the pic posted by Christian. Omg, it will be so spectacular!

That's exactly what I think when I read your posts.

One thing, prepare for disappointment.

Such high expectations are never good. You should see that even though he has a chance to win the Tour it's not a done deal yet. Especially with as much time trialling as there is this year.

He will probably be the strongest climber out of the gc contenders, bar maybe Samu, now that Alberto isn't there. But, he has to take advantage of that, what he failed to do this year. He can't count on himself doing a time trial good enough to not lose minutes.

Taking all into account, I think Samu has a better chance to win than Andy.

Climbing: Andy > or = Samu, depending on whether Andy has learned from last year or not.

TTing: Andy < Samu

Descending: Andy <<<<<< Samu ( When wet: Andy <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Samu)

Andy proved everything himself a long ago. Well, you can take no notice on my posts in this thread, if you disagree so much. There are a lot of people to socialize.
