Poor Andy, not even I wish this mess he got into.

Anyway, he needs to change his race attitude. He needs to start racing actively outside the Tour.

Bruyneel was right to try and mix it up for Andy, his elastic bond with his brother is part of the problem. What Johan didn't foresee though, was just how fragile poor Andy's confidence was. With Frank you have a runner up to Alberto and Sky, without Frank you have a nobody. May as well put them together and at least get a few mountain stages.

Let's hope he learns from this
anyway next year he will probably be invisible because he didn't do a GT this year

He's been so invisible this year it was like he had retired. I mind it feels like a "what ever happened to Andy Schleck...".

youthful maximalism of some forumities makes me laugh my heart out. :D Who the hell Florecita are you in order to afford to ridicule them, ah? :D

"The separation was not a good idea. Why change a winning team? What has that yielded this season?"

And just what monumental Winning results have they shown riding together?
A second and third in the Tour isn't winning.....

With Franks situation there may be a forced separation anyway....

To be fair to Anderson his main point was that the Schlecks have performed better when together than they have apart, which is true.

"Winning team" might not have been the right word choice but the team was a whole lot better last year than they have been this year. they were more a winning team last year.

There are lots of reasons why they performed less. Them being split up doesn't come to mind first if you ask me.

I don't think the separation was one of the biggest reason for the teams lack of performance this year. In the second sentence of my post I was just saying that the team, overall this year has been much less a winning team than they were last year.

And just what did they win last year??? Please refresh my memory....
Andy 1 stage in the le Tour (Awesome Win); without Frank doing a thing to help. Frank won CI but I don't recall Andy providing him any assistance...

Winning team indeed...2 wins between them in 2011...

I do hope Andy recovers well; he is an Incredible Talent. If he would only apply himself and use what nature gave him!

What have they won this year? My point was not that they were a big winning duo in cycling but that they were much better last year than they have been this year.

Andy's best result in his career was done without his brother.

Cryptic. Giro 2007 I assume.

Regardless, get well Andy, we need you back firing with or without Frank. Nobody else is going to make Bertie look behind him now that he knows he has the measure of Froome. Still scared of Andy though:)

Finishing second in the way he did that year still makes it his best GT result.

Closer than 2009 but better? Probably but hey ho, not arguing over that. Just hope Andy is back and able to go toe to toe again with AC again because nobody else will be able to.

I mean his second place in the 2010 Tour where he matched Contador in the climbs and actually attacked during the race. Much better than his 2009 and 2011 showings. Of course you could say LBL is his best moment, but I'm strictly speaking of GTs.

With you now. Forgot about Frankie boy crashing out early on the cobbles in 2010. Don't think Frank was in Giro 2007 though. So it is up there.
