Oh Andy, dear Andy... :( I'm afraid he'll have too little basis for next season, I mean the last time he raced seriously was Tour 2011

Where do you read that in the article

It wasn't anywhere. Sorry. Pelvic fractures can be really tough to recover from.

I completely hope he's back in the future. So far it's not going very well.

He shouldnt stress his comeback though. Lets call his 2012 season for what it is: **** and blow it off with main focus on rehabilitation and set the schedule for early 2013 instead.

We all need Andy.

Completely agree. Screw Johann (who probably won't be back next year anyways) and just concentrate on recovery. An AC/AS battle in a mountainous TDF would be epic.

Thanks - that's why I couldn't find it :)

I really hope Andy will be back healthy in 2013.

I hope he gets it together for next year. His win in Liege was great, he can pull more of that. It's not even funny to make jokes about him anymore :D

i'm sorry but- What the fvck is going on with Andy???:confused:

How come his injury still unhealed? I mean- since June? - I wrote about this issue before & honestly if his conditions is such that he needs a longer recovery & therapy-then call it as it is & don't risk a more damaging/long lasting injury. I'm just bothered by how his situation is turning into.

I think Andy might as well spend '6 months' of no racing, just like alberto :D. Then we should see whether he comes out with gun blazing like alberto or still soft pedal the entire season and show up only at TDF. If he wouldn't have soft pedaled every race he is in this year, he would have some win to remind him that his season wasn't a waste.

maybe there is a little air of apprehension to return, due to what happened to his brother ?

Will we ever know the truth behind his hip ? No way.

Hey come on he is Andy...Mr. Soft Pedal except for LBL or TdF....

But I wish him a speedy recovery!!!!!! Want to see him battle Alberto and Froome, cause they'll all drop Wiggo and Froome will be unleashed. (I hope!)

Just put a big fat X through this season for him. Injury or not he is completely wasting his talent. Shame.

Hope he realises next year it is not worth putting your eggs in all one basket but at the same time I won't hold my breath with regards to this. No matter what DS he has in the future I have my doubts anyone could shift him away from his Tour only view to the cycling calender.

His season was already finished. Why prolong the agony ? I would still like to see him fit and well for the Tour just to add another dimension to the race. The probable lack of TT kms and plenty of mountains might help motivate him.

agreed. He should add a little retreat to some soul searching monastery (high altitude preferably) to rest and recuperation. I heard that UCI is contemplating forgivness for doper now so by the time Andy is fit to race, Franck should be back to keep him happy

Let's hope he learns from this
anyway next year he will probably be invisible because he didn't do a GT this year

The forgivness will only count for the Armstrong-era ;)

He used to seem like a fun guy who loved riding his bike. It's been a long time since I've seen any of that spark.

Maybe he could spend the Winter in the Southern Hemisphere. Someplace with nice weather and some good climbs and no pressure.
