All this man up, become more mature stuff is oversimplifying his problems in my view. He's been affected by winning the TDF not how he wanted it(although had no control over that), by Frank's problems and by the failed appointment of Bruyneel. Its not simply a case of grow up Andy, its slightly more nuanced than that.

And which on that list made him go out drinking all night when he was riding the Vuelta, or being scared of descending or dropping his chain alot?

Hopefully he finishes a race today and it can be a new start for him!

For a start there is no chance of him doing anything in a GT this year given his current situation, secondly there is little to no chance of him doing the Giro or Vuelta anytime soon, he considers himself a "Tour de France rider" and thirdly the whole point of my post is that sometimes the cards fall right for a certain rider in a certain year.

Yes, the cards fall right for riders sometimes, but waiting for them to fall right for you is a mistake. Because sometimes they never will fall right. I agree his problem is more complicated, and a lot of his problems come from the mental side. "Manning up" IMHO is just one of the things he needs to do, the biggest change he needs to make I think is, as Cyrille Guimard said in the quote Christian posted, enjoy cycling again.

By man up, I was mostly talking about finishing a race and not abandoning anymore by the way.

Okay, agreed, its probably that simple, get his head right, enjoy his cycling and show us the awesome GT rider he once was.I am not making excuses for him although it may sound like it, Carols, you are right also, his attitude at times stinks, this forum has little time for him but i do feel sympathy for someone with "head" problems, suppose that is all i am saying.

He gets a tough time because he has disappointed us countless times :( He used to be a real fav here but all the good will diminished with his repeated antics and attitude.

Improvement today, from DNF for no reason to just getting dropped, that has to count for something, and in the pic he wasn't even riding alone, so he wasn't the last man in the race:eek:

Yes, he finished

And I was wrong before:

Guercilena confirmed that Schleck is set to ride Strade Bianche on Saturday and then stay in Italy to ride Tirreno-Adriatico, which starts next Wednesday.

"That's the plan at the moment, as long as there are no last minute problems," Guercilena said.

I offer all the fans consider that it is the start of great Andy's resurection and as a result start of great obliteration for all other GT contenders. That's the way I feel. :)

Good news. This is exactly what Andy needs to do now. Go out and fight. LBL could still be on target.

Was going to post that picture lol, but the one i found was too big. Anyways its good to see him suffering at least, 1000x better than giving up and resulting in a DNF.

I saw your post and was going to edit it with a resized picture, but you deleted your post, so I just chose to post it myself. If you want to resize a picture I can help you :)

Ya not quite sure how to resize on this forum, didn't want to get anyone annoyed with a huge picture so I just deleted it.
