You do do not allow bashing there. In that thread you jump on every anti-Contador post and label it unequivocal trolling. It this thread Andy can be mocked by you (and others) freely

No I label it as hating. Pay attention. Only airstream and serfla are trolls.

There are Andy fans who jump on every pro Contador post. Not that different ;)

That's not that special either. Not when you compare it to 30 years ago.

Mind I am not saying Alberto isn't great. Of course he is :)
He won all GT's twice. Le tour thrice. *Lots* of stage races. That's the palmares part. The way he races is superb. Fuente De as an example.

That's what we know but his official palmares says something different

Only a loser like Andy has 2nd places as 'hugely impressive' on their palmares.

Just to be clear. You think finishing 2 nd place in a Gt let alone the Tour is not "hugely impressive"?

No. Not on one's palmares. A palmares consists of wins.

Tour '11 is on Evans' palmares. Not his two 2nd places.

Is that the case? I was under the impression it was most notable results?

Are you sure they are not listed?

In My Opinion.

Cycling is about winning. 2nd is just the first loser.

I also thought it was wins, stages or races.

Wiki lists notable results under palmares but I think that is a *******isation of the word.

Edit: Maybe this is why the Schleck thread is so big it's just people chatting about random things.

I didn't mention palmares (deliberately so).

Have another crack:

No I don't find it 'hugely impressive'.

I think his win on Galibier was hugely impressive. 2nd overall not.

Andy is a good lad.

I don't doubt that but the reason this thread gets so much traffic is because of the drama that he, his brother and their team create. His current travails are something that I for one don't think should be made light of and I feel sympathy for him in his efforts to get back to the level that he was before his injury. As many here have said his return to form would be good for the sport. In the past I have been one of his biggest critics but in this circumstance I think that some of the statements about Andy are pretty cruel.
He's down and to kick him while he's struggling is just kind of sad and doesn't reflect well on those doing the kicking.

not enough. Needs more classics (and GTs and stage races).

Why are we discussing this in Andy discussion thread :p

...because the two are eternally linked. To discuss one you inevitably will end discussing the other.

So, again to be clear. It is wins only that make something 'hugely impressive'?

Just to be clear. I have seen many great rides that didn't result in victory, and also impressive tries from far out, but at the end of the day it's all about crossing the line first.
