In A interview Contador said that Andy impressed him more then Froome. Interesting!

I read that interview too, interesting indeed! Perhaps because Andy actually managed to push Contador to the limit when Contador was still great, unlike Froome who does so now while Contador isn't great anymore.

Froome didn't really push AC this year though, that would imply Contador puts up a fight where as he actually just gets dropped

Andy vs Froome would be interesting though, Andy likes it when the day is as hard as possible where as Froome excels when it is all down to the last mountain...could lead big tactical moves on both sides.

Never been an AC fan, and proud to have never been one. And don't get me started on that idiotic pistol salute, thankfully we'll never see it again.

I've never been a Contador fan, I respect the way he used to ride and attack but would always cheer for his rivals. I am a Froome fan and also love the way Quintana rides, Nairo will win a lot of races.

That is not true, for Froome is better long and hard days, with long and no very step climbs... Andy doesn matter if is step, but they are similar in that.

It is Contador who prefer just one final climb and not very long stages.

I will ride the interview, but what Contador said has not very sense a lot of times...

Andy maybe dont need to work so hard as Froome to get even a best result in the mountain.

I need to see Andy back to a good level to give a better opinion.

I actually give Andy a bigger chance to win this tour than AC

Me too. If AC could still TT I would think otherwise but as it stands Andy could do well. It has the potential to be very open with Nibali, Froome, Alberto, Andy all in with a shout.

Why would Andy return to top level again? Look, i would like to see it happen, because it gives the Tour more dynamic, but are there any serious indications that he will return to his old form?

"Chris Froome was outstanding this year. He was really good, and he was really strong, but I don’t think he was a lot stronger than we were two years ago, or three years ago, Alberto and me"

This is surely Schlecks Tour to lose :D. Seriously though he should be in with a chance going into stage 20...

Such a shame that Froom lacks the bike handling skills to see 3 way track stands:eek:

Hope it will be battle though

nop, but he atleast got a somewaht ok excuse for his form the last couple of years. AC just seems to have lost it, so if 1 of them are suddenly going to win the tour, I thibk it wil be Adny, not AC

Agree, if you speak of Contador, because he's just not the old one (whe all know the reason of it). He refers by himself that this year he had to much press-restrictions (i don't believe him) this year, and thanks to that his form is less good.

Andy still has the potential, but i really hope that he finally sees the light again, and also will do good in the classics next year, because that will give him the much needed confidence boost.

Hopefully for him the Arenberg stage doesn't have the same outcome for him...

What's your opinion about Fränk, what can he do next year in the Tour?

The likelihood is not a lot, but you never know. Frank will be motivated I suppose, can't have too many years left at the top?

Well, still 8 years te become 41;)

Will be interesting to see how much he can support Andy in the mountains, and particulary if he's able to be there in the finale (if there 20 guys left). The presence of Fränk definitely will give strong motivations to Andy.

Really hope he can get himself to a good level for it. Doesn't look like too bad a route for him. If he can get to a level similar to 2010 and 2011 there are more then a few stages that can be very good for him.

Good to see he's confident for it as well.

If i recall correctly Andy said at the beginning of the year that during the winter he couldn't train properly because he wasn't completely healed of his injury. Now with a proper training in the off season and a high level of motivation i trust he will return to the top level. Look at Aaron Ramsey now. :)

If we take Andy's last results on the pave as an indicator he'll crush this course. We'll see if Cancellara can be bothered to ride for him even if he can't take lots of things from this race; unless he wants to go crazy in Tourmalet-Hautacam just like 2008 all over again :)
