Oh yeah, that was hilarious.

I think he chased and left Valverde behind, didn't he?

Indeed he did. The yellow jersey gave him crazy wings.

I liked reading through this thread. 2007 was epic and anti climax at the same time.

Anti climax how?

When Chicken and Berto started their first crazy mountain dance (while i was already to say screw this because well you know why) i was like: Alberto who?

i would like to see that aswell it was amazing TT

vino crushing every1 canc under performing the chicken over performing it was epic.

to me contador wasn't really a stranger back then. i had already seen in him a few times in 2006 and on that year's P-N, and i have always been a fan on him tbh. i liked his riding style.

You didn't have the slightest idea who Contador was? did you not follow cycling before the tour 2007?

By the way. I believe the sporting value took a big hit, when they decided to pull Rasmussen out of the race. Based on nothing but opaque motives.

ya i also agree with this

contador would still won everything after that tour but rasmussen more then deserved that one. also black listing him like the uci did is pathetic and a shame

i didn't see passion in that mendrisio win,i didn't see the pain in every muscle, the pisz all over the shorts.
in the last km he even stopped just to say hello to the public and a huge smile all over his face.
don't get me wrong, still fabian is a beast and the best itt rider in the world....

who cares about a rider celebrating in an itt. this is a f'n tour de france no time to celebrate vino was to busy gain every second and minute on his competition.

ya i agree with this

besides canc never has to bother with his GC placing so he can afford to celebrate before the line

i don't consider it a great performance at all..

He was most certainly supercharged, but so was pretty much everyone in 2007. Allthough Vino used nitroboost as well it seems.
Crazy, I love the footage and epicness, but at the same time the extreme use op doping is a bummer.

are you people that blind?? you think he juyst sat there and din't have to peddle for this performance?? the p[uss came out of his knees, he wa sinjured beyond believe and beyond what would be wise to even continue but vino is unparalelled mentally and this is the ultimate showcase of power of the mind and not doping. yes he was juiced, but whi cares. I've not been this entertained in a tour stage since landis

There is very little footage of Vino in that timetrial because he was going so fast the cameras struggles to follow.

even these days there is no doubt that vino is a a sick mental freak.i've heard rumours that he's risking his health a lot with a comeback like that after a cracked femur.he was on his bike training before he could walk right!
the supreme beast!

Which is normal for anyone - and will be the same for Gesink - bike rehab is important after Femur breaks to help with walking

It would have been Klodi's first stage win if he hadn't crashed ;)

Oh, I like watching the Tour highlights DVD's too :D
