Thanks for that.

Given that there are now ebay shopping links in the weylandts memorial thread, it certainly hammers home the terribly blind, inappropriate and tasteless side effects of the Skimlinks robots. Good riddance.

Not soon enough:

If Leopard Trek chose to withdraw from the remainder of the Giro, that would be understandable under the circumstances. With regards to tomorrows stage, I would support the previous precedent for such tragic occurances .... that of neutralising the stage with all prizemoney to go to Weylandt's family.

Am not going to buy into the issue of the Crostis as I am insufficiently familiar with it. Organisers may indeed reassess this part of the route; unless I can see clear evidence to the contrary I'll go with their judgement.

Have read some interesting comments re safety. Regarding helmets design, maybe there is more that can be done. Regarding descents however; I do most politely differ from the previous poster who took aim at the UCI. HOW, precisely, can they police such things ? Terrain & topography are not matters that can be standardised. Weather conditions undoubtedly play a part in safety concerns & whether certain terrain/passes should be traversed but again, this can really only be assessed by those "on the ground".

Nice, you get a skimwords link in a post about Weylandt's death. Classy CN. Classy. This quote doesn't have a link on the word "Giro," but the original post did...but yea, animal sex acts are much worse.

I am devastated by this decision.

I will probably cry a river almost as much as the other members who Cried like little *** about the skimwords being instituted. Such sad sacks.

Is something like this seeming to return? Just noticed a hyperlink has been inserted in my long post about Eastern Bloc cycling in the Astana thread, which I didn't put there and I can't edit my post to remove.

Either it's gone, or Chrome and Explorer have blocked it. I don't see it.

I don't see anything there, either. Please let me know if anything of that sort appears anywhere, with specifics.

Thanks.

Strange - gone now, it was a hyperlink in the name of 80s East German cyclist Falk Boden, with a link to something like boden.com - appeared out of nowhere, wasn't there earlier today, was there on its own a few mins ago (hence reporting it), now isn't. Makes me wonder if it got auto-deleted, or if my attempt at fixing my post to see if I could delete it, which resulted in an "edited" post which had no changes, meant it went away.

Maybe it's just some malware on your computer and not done by the website?

I certainly haven't seen it on here since my last malware...

You're not afraid of a nice little old lady like me, are you?

Lost your sense of humor I see?:confused:

If you're threatening me with something, I'd love for you to explain what that is, and why.
