Wow dombrowski.......
He is just another huge american talent.
BMC better throw their money at something that is actually worth it, like dombrowski.

But I suspect he will go RSNT.

How much will you get on the Eijssen and Roe trade-ins?

The BMC talent scouts will probably say he'll get nowhere, like they did with Talansky... picking Eijssen instead.

Yeah they still have lots of work to do. If they still don't show anything yet, I'm guessing they might lose their spots on a worldtour team. But they are young.
At least Phinney is blooming.

They really did that???
Well, not quite... he was rejected for the USA national squad by a guy called Noel Dejonckheere, who now works for BMC as a talent scout.

And finally Noel Dejonckheere left the U23 development team before the start of the season. He left to go to BMC and that was my opening with the U.S. team. People can say what they want about the guy, how he’s a great eye for talent, but I have never met the person. I have never said hello to him, but somehow he decided in his head that I wasn’t material for the team. He had told somebody that I would never make it. I don’t know if that was a decision he made based off seeing me at a race, I don’t know. He never talked to me, he never met me.

That guy should be fired!!:p

Anyway BMC are setting up an U23 team next year to look for talent, main swiss and american riders.

On the strade bianche of Tuscany Dombrowski suffers hard. He lost contact to the leading groups early and never came back. At the last time split he was about three minutes back; let's wait for the official result. Sic transit gloria.

Zakarin is the new maglia rosa, Penasa should be the runner-up and di Serafino 3rd.

1. Ilnur Zakarin (Russia)
2. Enrico Barbin (Trevigiani) + 0:16
3. Pierre Paolo Penasa (Zalf Fior)
4. Matteo di Serafino (Vega Prefabbricati) + 0:42
...
Massimo Coledan (Trevigiani) + 2:08

Seems like Zakarin is a best allrounder in this race. 3-rd in itt, 3-rd in Terminillo, now he wins sterrato stage. He will have good lead over Dombro and Aru before Gavia

Tough situation for Dombrowski with only two team mates left in the race. It will be interesting to see if he and/or Aru can go nuts on the remaining climbs.

Squire, Summerhill and Warbasse. So still three.

Aru doesn't seem to be on top of his form here.

Just what the race needed. Gavia will be mental, probably the best day in a stage race this year.
