Man, please. Vermeersch was just freewheeling from wheel ro wheel and clearly had energy to spare. You're simply not going to convince me that entire group was dead. The fact Vacek is now putting in this effort pretty much proves it.

I think it's Vacek who deserves criticism most of all, he looks like he had the legs to just attack at the point the gap was smallest.

A bit harsh. He did go to the front once Skjuins dropped off, but why should he drag a load of guys back who are higher than him on GC. This move could see him in 2nd, which is more than he could have hoped for.
