"Don't run away but admit your mistake," Evenepoel said. "Are you going to laugh in my face now? Oh boy."
Whatever Vermeersch did, how slow the mechanic was…it was no reason fpr Remco the way he did….
He maybe should take a training course with a guy like Allan Peiper who could show him what respect means…
The kid is talented but he is acting like a ten year old brat
I don't think there is a video of what happened. Apparently Vermeersch did go the the team bus of DQS later to apologize so I'm guessing he knows himself that what he did was 100% correct, or he doesn't want to step on the toes of the big fanbase that Remco has too much.Is there video of what Vermeersch did? Or just the aftermath?
I remember the 2017 Giro stage 3, where Greipel had made the split, was next to a Quickstep rider in the front echelon... and suddenly he bumped sideways and was out of the echelon and Gaviria won the stage.
I'm not saying what Vermeersch did was basically the sort of tricks that lots of Belgian teams, Quickstep included, pretty much always get up to in echelons, but...
This. I'm honestly not a fan of either of them but I haven't a bad word to say about Roglic. He seems like a class act.No, no. To be as respectful and well-mannered as Rogla is to be dishonest. Can't have that!
I keep on seeing Vermeersch's name come up in perhaps not the most glowing way ... helping "create" a crash, interesting tactics in road or cx, etc. Was it Vermeersch who has also sat on van Aert's wheel in a 2nd or 3rd group but still sprinted (for 10th or something)? Is there video of what Vermeersch did? Or just the aftermath?

That's honest as well, because that's his character. Evenepoel is different, arrogant at times - but I consider this honest as well. There are too many people that pretend they are nice guys but aren't and then find some way to BS their way out, just for commercial purposes. When you're totally upset at times, at least be straightforward about it. It's not that he physically attacked the guy or anything really bad, he just confronted him about what he did. Fair enough. No, no. To be as respectful and well-mannered as Rogla is to be dishonest. Can't have that!

He is already in TE... mentallyWhat disturbing me about Sagan is that he keep falling and was at the wrong side of the echelon. Never used to happen to him.
Guys, my friends just told me they're taking me to Belgium on the weekend for my bachelor party.
And I was like: "do you know there's going to be the Benelux Tour?"
"No, not really"
"We need to go!"
"Yeah but the plan is to hit breweries and pubs and nightclubs..."
"The plan has changed"
So, does anybody know if there will be restrictions to access the Muur and roughly at what time they'll start the first lap? Being there would be super cool but we have a plane to catch on Sunday afternoon.
Yeah, thats a Froome classic and one of the many reasons why I didnt really like that guy. That's honest as well, because that's his character. I think it was when he began dominating and especially dominating very conservatively that I decided that he could not be a good human being and therefore his image of a happy little british schoolboy couldn't be true.So you just decided yourself that Froome couldn't be nice even though he acted like he was all the time? How did you come to that conclusion? A coinflip?

Nah seriously, his interviews have always come across very strange to me. Seemed he tried so hard to be a nice guy, when in reality, Im sure his a cutthroat guy (judging by twitter, YT etc). Could be wrong though.
The not a good human-part was obviously a joke, I hope that was clear...I have no doubt Froome is/was as competitive as anyone but he's never come across as "not a good human being." Bland? Yep. Parroting the company line? Yep. I'll grant that we can't expect full transparency in sport, and especially cycling, but Froome seems to have remained largely a cool customer, given how long he dominated GTs for the highest-profile team.
I dunno about Remco, seems like blowing your top every time something doesn't go your way won't make too many friends. Although his only tactic seems to be solo attacks so it doesn't matter...
When even Thomas De Gendt thinks it's been a hard day, it's definitely been rough!
No live images for B. Thomas, McNulty, Fisher-Black, Sobrero, G. Thomas, Bjerg, Evenepoel, Affini, Moscon, Dumoulin and some other good TT'ers today. That's disappointing.
Nope. coverage starts at 13:35, so just 1 hour of images. Not even in Belgium?
