Bertie: Liar, Cheat and Coward.

Has any other rider in the history of sport risked the
livelihood of countless thousands of his countrymen
and women: farmers; ranchers; meat processors;
butchers; livestock and food inspectors; truck drivers;
shop owners; and restaurant owners just because he
was too much of a coward to admit he was a cheater?

His lies threatened to destroy an entire Spanish industry
and cost his native land millions of Euros in bad publicity
and lost business. Fortunately the world saw Contador
for what he is: a cheater, a liar and a coward. Does
cycling need an unrepentant liar, cheat and coward
like Alberto Contador in it's midst, or should this selfish
druggie be drummed out of the sport as soon as possible?

poor Alberto. Doping to try and keep up with clean British riders. Too bad he had to bring a whole countrys economy down with him though. That was unfortunate.

Why do you always have to bring up some sort of cheap shot when referring to the British? British riders have nothing got to do with the theme of this thread. I just seen your comment as well on the Richie Porte piece on the main page of the website.

Stop playing to the gallery and choir. You're far from funny I can assure you.

Really?

His lies really cost all that?

Any links to a credible economic impact statement or other quantified measure of the impact of the clentador situation?

Let's call it what it is. A poster who is perturbed about the frequency and intensity of suspicion around Froome on this site has created this thread to get a reaction from the forum.

I suggest just moving on from what appears to be a fairly insincere thread.

Why do you

realize its very disturbing to read?

It's called line breaks. Don't you recognize poetry when you see it? The catalogue of threatened workers in the first stanza carries a Whitmanean heft, leading up the energy of the final line's assertion. The second stanza gets a bit didactic, with too many repeated words (liar, cheat, coward, etc.). The poem would be better served if the writer used his words more effectively, or organized the repeated words into a refrain.
