The competition is over. Radioshack as always produces stunning quality winners in worst Nats category. They took it to other level this year :D

I coudln't even spot it when the image was small...

why in hell would anyone waste money coming up with this design. Unlike the EUS attempt which just strikes me as being incompetent, this one seems like deliberately boycotting the Luxembourg flag.

"design" is really stretching it!! I remember the national federation once considered appealing Fränk Schleck's jersey from Leopard Trek days ... they didn't do it back then but if they don't do anything now then we might as well abolish national champion's jersey altogether

I've just seen Cannondale's effort for the Slovakian champion, it's even worse then the Radioshack one.

Not really. The back is pretty good in it. Saves the whole jersey a bit.

Absolutely it's one of the worst!!

The white spot below the union jack makes it look like the Australian flag!!!!!

Roly's silver fern jersey when he was national champ whilst riding for HTC was an example of how to get it right. This one is the polar opposite to that.

I just resized a couple of images. The thread is a whole lot more readable if no image is broader than 1000 pixels. :)

Surely it's not.

No national champion in their right mind is ever going to wear a jersey with the wrong flag on it.

this is what new zealanders look like:

I am sure these guys would fit in great in masters crit racing in California or could do a mean first lap in the team track sprint.

This is utter crap! Especially when you compare it to the NZ champ jerseys Julian Dean had at Credit Agricole, Garmin and HTC.

THIS is how a NZ champ should look.

This used to be one of the best looking and most distinctive national champ kits in the peloton

Julian Dean was the first rider to create truly distinctive NZ champons jersey by going with the silver fern design when at Credit Agricole and then the following year at Garmin.

The fern replaced a boring white jersey with two solid black lines that had been the jersey up until then (but still infinitely better than Radiofail's effort).

Roulston's jersey at HTC was IMO the best example of what a Kiwi champ should look like...

Jack Bauer's at Endura was pretty similar to Dean's Garmin version and wasn't too bad either.

I'm still stunned at how unbelievably bad Radioshack's is.

Some teams (Radioshack, Movistar for example) for reasons I cannot fathom seem incapable of designing a good national champ jersey.

Maybe they should all just hire one guy to design all their jersey's, whoever designs OPQS's national champ jersey's. :p

RadioShack don't do sleeve bands either. Dunno why but that just irritates me no end.

Sky didn't do sleeve bands last year either except for wiggo. For example geraint thomas or christian knees didn't have theirs.

They seemed to have fixed that this year and even have a mini union flag on the sleeve rather than the traditional red white and blue stripes. Having said that i haven't seen christian knees yet to see if he has his german bands

interesting to see on the rapha site - http://www.rapha.cc/shop/team-sky/?utm_source=teamsky&utm_medium=website&utm_campaign=shop_cta - that there is a "wiggo" replica, with the british flag, but nothing for germany.

what is interesting to note, is that there is a version with stripes on the sleeve instead of the flag, as the thumbnail, but then changes to the flag once you click into the item, indicating to me that the flag idea was a last minute change.

Knees has the German colors on his right sleeve where G and Wiggo have their Union Jack banner.

Good stuff. All the pictures on the team sky website seemed to miss the right sleeve and he hasn't raced yet this season so wasn't sure if he had them.

Glad to hear that he does
