Went for Betancur, I guess he'lllose some time to Kelderman in the ITT, but he should be easily better than him in the mountains to gainway more time back. Can't really see any of the other riders in the fight.

How's Majka doin' these days? Since the Vuelta didn't hear him anymore ...

Ouch, just read about Chaves' crash in Laigueglia. It does seem like he resumed training though. Probably won't have the fitness to race a three week stage race this soon.

Aru I am sure will be amongst the top 20 climbers in the race (atleast in the first couple of mountain stages), but Betancour got to be the biggest favourite for white jersey.

George Bennett is riding for RSL and it's his main goal for the season, but Betancur has this is the bag if he stays on his bike.

What has he ever shown in GT over 3 weeks to deserve the massive hype ? Top 5 in GC with so much TT and he's yet to prove how he recovers.. seems way too much.

He seemed to do well in the last road stage in his first GT (in his first year as pro). The perhaps most brutal GT of recent times.

I think Meyers' saddle sore has affected his Giro hopes- i think he is riding TOC, then Suisse to maybe target the TDF.

What had Henao shown in GT's before his top 10 in last years Giro? Betancur was 4th in LBL and 3rd in FW this year, plus plenty other strong performances in his short time as a pro (including his 4th on Sestriere as Netserk pointed out). I could definitely see him getting a top 10.

I hope that you know, that Henao is in the pro peloton only from last year. In his first GT he was 9th, and he was 14th in the Vuelta, where he had to help Froome.

I do know that, I was using Henao for comparison. He was able to get 9th in his first GT. Betancur's been in the pro peleton longer than Henao has, and has thus far achieved more then Henao did leading up to his top 10. Granted that Henao is probably more talented then Betancur, but with what Betancur has done so far this season, it's not at all outside the realm of possibilities to expect him to manage to finish in the top 10 this Giro.
