Specialized concept bike. They claim that this is what road bikes would look like if there was no 3:1 rule and the UCI are just a bunch of haters:

Guess the UCI is useful after all.

Meanwhile, The part of the Specialized bikes that seem to be drawing the most negative feedback is it's gargantuan head tube. And I think they deserve a huge amount of grief about it. Mainly because it shows just how they regard their customers. For the last two years they have discontinued manufacturing, for customer bikes, the 2 frame geometries that they used to offer. Now only the more upright geometry is available to the customers, who truly keep them in business. Thus, the incredibly tall head tubes. Meanwhile, Trek still offers 3 (and at least 2, on some of the top models) different geometries on many of their bikes. I have read that the 2013 Roubaix is going to have 2 geometries available to us plebeians. But the fact is that while they are touting the next "greatest" thing in bike manufacturing, and trying to get you worked up about spending thousands of dollars on one of their upcoming frames. We (the general public) are not getting the same frames that the peloton is getting, and as far as I'm concerned, that is very disturbing when I'm about to put down a lot of money.

In some cases you are, especially with carbon fiber. I would argue the only thing most team kit does is motivate consumers to part with more money. In the distant past, it wasn't a great idea to have the 1:1 bike some pro rode. In the recent past, some pros don't like their team sponsor's product.

IMHO, 'racing' bikes tend to have a bias towards steep angles that doesn't play out quite as promised.

First order of business is to get one that works for your body dimensions. I do not gram-count at all and *somehow* I can keep up with people spending 5x more on their gear.

Holy cow. Is that saddle made to ensure your @$$crack stays fixed in one position?

Is that a normal "new" stem? Looks like a flightpanel in a cockpit.

Must be part of the team SKY's/GB computerized roboriding; with one button, it can calculate how long competitors can sustain certain wattages for what number of minutes; includes time differences to breaks via GPS and recommends average speeds to catch the break within the last 10k, 5k, 3k; instantly graphs your power output, heart rate, speed, rpm, and plots it against prior max training results, so in one instance you can see if you match your 'best efforts'; and most importantly, since it's a deadly boring way of racing and/or you are forced to stare at your teammate's **** for hours, it includes netflix....

No wonder Froome kept on looking at his stem every second. Madagascar 4 was on and he didn't want to miss a second. :D
brilliant stuff. netflix for sure:D

Be the envy of everyone on your street! If you live next to a nut farm that is.
The developer of this fine steed has bought a fair bit of local advertising tv time.
Just needs some "L" cranks to top it off.

Click: we promise not to tell anyone to place an order.

Btw, it says "Italian DNA" on the top tube. Methinks someone should have worn a condom.

Oh and what could be better than the bike?

The video!

Probably doesn't belong here because it is a bike strictly based on design rather than performance, the Bauhaus bike. Makes no performance claims that I am aware of, though I wonder if those squares are UCI compliant.
