So you are saying that the two BMC riders have had a 'twin fail' since 9/11 :p

I think there's something seriously wrong with Hushovd. He says he can't even keep up with the peloton on the flat. I'm worried that he's seriously ill, or perhaps is having some trouble mentally. His season is probably over and he's already looking ahead to next season. Might even retire...

Vino attacks everyone said:
wasnt it some virus he got?

but didn't he issued a statement a few weeks ago that he totally recovered.

And if it is Chonic Virus that means that he had it a long time, and some virus for example like HIV, once the symptom starts it is very hard to go back to the healthy level again.

Could be Chronic Fatigue or Glandular Fever. It took Mick Rogers a long time to recover from glandular fever. If that is the case then his career is definitely in limbo. Glandular fever can keep returning. Lots of athletes seem to get it, maybe from overtraining and weakening their immune system.

they should outbid ASTANA to buy Nibali, which they didn't. With Sagan strong performance and no conflict with Nibali next year, I doubt Joubert can get his mojo back.

No comment for Thor, hope he gets better.

Evans is simply getting a little too old, you just can't cheat age. Next year he might try for the win of Giro for the last time.

All in all, BMC last year big investment seems like laughing stock right now.

Anyone watch the TJ interview by NBC after Stage14? Hmmm ... Sounded like TJ did not want to wait for Evans ...

I just mentioned this in another thread
Yeah, TJVG showed that in the previous stage, even he was pacing Evans, he would gap a few bike length, then looking back kinda of like saying "come on, catch my wheel". I think he felt his white jersey might be in jeopardy at that stage when Rolland and Pinot are riding away.

And frankly if you don't have the legs why would I wait for you. Same thing apply to F and W case. But that is a little complicated since W TT a little better than F. But in BMC scenario in this tour i think TJVG TT level probably is above Evans. And if he also climb better than Evans, why the hell you want to wait for Evans. I think that probably is his thought.

I like TJ an ambitious young men, and he said many times that he believed he can win the tour maybe as soon as next year.

They ran some tests on Thor and found some evidence of a girls blouse. Doctors think thats the root of his problems.

TJ could've become the leader for BMC if he hasn't had those bad early stages where he lost time.

I think he got his first dose of hatchet journalism. Looking at the video he would have every reason to presume one of the trailing BMC guys would offer up a wheel and the DS would definitely want a mouthpiece/presence in the front group. If he didn't get clear and immediate direction to stop right where he was what would he have done? Walk back uphill? There was about 5 seconds to respond to the situation and if Cadel's shrill voice was mixed in with the fans screaming I'm not sure there would be a discernable difference.

Van Garderen knew exactly what he was doing
He must think he doesn't need to help his team leader any more, now he's ridden well in a stage or two.

Wishful thinking .......top 7 at best next year. Later ...maybe.

Van Garderens performances have been nowhere near good enough to think about overshadowing Evans. He did more harm than good on the stage that Evans attacked, he seemed more interested in showing everyone how strong he was than helping his team leader. Its the sort of thing that will come back to bite him.

As much as I like Tejay, people are really getting carried away. Calm down and let's all see what he does in the next couple of stage races/grand tours that he competes in.

Nice double entendre!:D

Evans could have been the Tour leader by now if he hadn't lost time to Wiggins since Liege
