Thomas openly talked about what he did. He said he doped in 2009 at BMC and when he was at Astana. Call me naive but I honestly beleive that THomas wants to come back and do the right thing.

He still posts his training rides on facebook, and a vid of his vO2 max test http://www.twitvid.com/ZWN7N

SO in October 2009 a package containing 195 doses EPO was intercepted. This is right at the end of the cycling season.
It has been determined that this Sven S was the intended recipient of this EPO so he has been arrested now.
He this year it seems he has done some work for BMC on a race by race basis as needed.
Was he working for BMC in 2009? if not what team, if any, was he involved with in 2009?

What a load of bull **** from bmc.

BMC have however played down any apparent connection with Sven S. Although John Lelangue did not want to comment, Jim Ochowicz has said that he isn't even familiar with the man."A part-time soigneur for us? His name means nothing to me. I also don't know anything about an arrest. This is the first I've heard of it."

The guy is listed on THEIR website!
It is funny how scripted this is.

Yeah respect to you for not letting your fandom blind you to reality.
Thanks. I want a clean sport first and foremost. I am someone who has very stron beleifs about people getting what they deserve and that if you put out bad into the world that it comes back at you. Works the other way as well.

He was also said to be in their team for a race in Berlin earlier this year, and Tour of Poland 2010.

That's all google found up. That and some race results from his amateur career. I'm not sure what would be worse, buying dope for pros or amateurs...

Given that the screenshot is linked on Het Nieuwsblad, as posted by Race Radio in the first post, I assumed it the was basis for this thread.

I am glad you aren't blind to the idea of Cuddles doping.

Personally, I assume that given the 2009 date of the initial offence, Cuddles will be fine, regardless of whether he is doping; that is, unless BMC is ejected from the Tour holus bolus.

I am a BMC and Evans fan as well and if BMC and/or Evans are found to be involved they need to be punished. A 2 year ban for the riders and whatever can be done to the staff involved.
A link to BMC in 2009 has not be established yet so it may have nothing to do with BMC at all, or it could bring the whole BMC team down. There is not enough information yet.

The highlights

-Original case dates to 2009
-Searched on Monday. Found syringes and needles
-Been in jail since Monday
-Part time with BMC, worked early season races
-Worked mostly with Cadel and Greg
-He confessed and said it was for "my own use" (195 doses!)
-His name is Sven....

Well, its obvious at least from the second picture that the guy is full of roids himself, so he does have some extent of personal use.

But this case doesn't matter for me regardless of who he was buying for, pros or amateurs, BMC are sinners with or without Sven S.

Really? You don't find Ochowicz and Van Avermaet's blatantly false denials very telling on their own?

They could be because they want to distance themselves from the person who has been supplying BMC with EPO.
Or they could be because they want to distance themsleves from a person who has been linked with buying EPO, but did nothing to supply BMC with EPO.
Either way the comments are stupid, either in haste to cover up or panic at being linked with PEDs.
Still there is no link been established between Sven and BMC at the time of the EPO bust, only well after then.

According to French newspaper Le Figaro citing Belgian press reports, this case is said to date back to the seizure of a package containing 195 doses of EPO at Bierset airport in Belgium in October 2009. The package was addressed to the wife of Sven S.

The suspect, whose home has been searched in recent days, has reportedly confessed to Belgian authorities that he intended to import the products, which originated in the Netherlands, into the country and that they were intended for personal use as he sought to relaunch his own cycling career.
