Okay it's getting a little repetative now. We don't always have to play this joke when there is a doping scandal or whatever in another sport. I know you think its really clever but it really isn't when it's wheeled out every time like this.

Actually the Jamacian authorities are the worst in the world and received huge criticism recently. Some points about that would be more constructive.
what, like hiring Caitlin, then making him do no testing. BRILLIANT!

You're all just jealous because you couldn't make it as professional runners

what, little fanbois angry that your hero (insert name) couldn't keep up

and to you mrs Gay well, you're the worst because Tyson himself admitted he took EPO and what did he ever win huh

grow up, the rest of the world and all underpriveledged Jamaican kids takes inspiration from his comeback from polio to be the fastest man ever

Yeah. It's true. You confirmed it. You ARE my grade 6 teacher Ms Remelmozer aren't you.

I can spot it. We even called you " the fun Nazi back" then too

So do you still fall for it when kids say that the dog ate their homework?

This is the best laugh I have had in quite some time. Thank you one and all!

I do have to vote Race Radio's "Hope runs again" and blackcat's "He is not running for you" as my personal favorites. I am a minimalist when it comes to good comedy, and those were perfect! But truly, props to everyone just the same.

I was in the stadium with my daughter today from 10am am till 11 pm (all jamaican women and men won EVERY race, whether Qualification or Finals). What i saw was unreal !! I mean i saw Michael Johnsons 19,32 in the stadium live in Atlanta in 1996 and tought: unbelievable. But today, no, it was unreal. I am still shocked. My daughter is 9 and she asked what "product" did Bolt use. OMG, if i had those drugs in the early 90s, i could have improved my fastball from 74 to 82 mph right up to the minor leagues. Now i suffer in a "normal" job. All said and done: I said it before, Football, Track and Swimming is wayyyy worse then cycling. I am going to think to give up sports completely, it makes no sense anymore. Its abnormal and sick.

To be honest i was just going to the stadium today, coz my daughter really wanted it. I had my fun, my emotions and all, but after all, in the end, i am doubting BIG. Its not the way it used to be...

God hell, i listen to Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Nazareth and 80s Metallica now, just to come down from the worst, but then also the most emotional, day in sports ever (including every Epo-Lance-"Heroics"). I am confused completly....

Bolt is faster then all because he only has one testicle. It makes him lighter!

Err, you might want to revisit that

As I am lead to believe: 1 Jamaican nut + 1 Black “Bolt” is still = to 5kgs

If you doubt that type in “Welcome to Jamaica Have a Nice Day- WENDY” into the Joke finder in the web

Having said that, You do win. I don’t think that can be topped. Seriously. I just cacked it. Top shelf. Top. Frikkin. Shelf

(Can this web site please sponsor prizes for golden posts)

You know the sad thing about this thread? I think its that we aren’t even trying hard and they are coming thick and fast.

Poor kids. Here’s a 9yr old alert to it. The Sweet innocence of youth evaporates and we have mistrust and scepticism and cynicism. Yeah Lance & Mr Bolt’n’stein, great legacy you’ll leave for impressionable youngsters if you are ever exposed as anything other than superhuman

Most of the sprinters are black, so that means he's 5kh lighter then most :p

Ben Johnson was doped to his eyeballs (so much so the whites of his eyes were yellowed at times) and ran 9.79.

What I don't believe about Bolt is that a guy 6'5", a veritable giraffe, can move his legs as fast or faster than a short guy way under 6 feet. Forget the stride length: his cadence is that of a really short guy. No way without artificial help. Laws of physics, anyone? (You can't turn a long lever faster than a short one without being on high octane fuel, etc).

It's like a Cancellara or Indurain or Backstedt spinning up a Verbier or Ventoux etc. ahead of a Pantani of Conti. Or it's like 70mph down the Elysee ahead of a Cavendish.

Here's a pic of his girlfriend accelerating nicely:

I bet Bolt would be dropped by Gay, if the WC only included some mountain top finishes. The 100m TT is just too decisive, again. Bolt is said to put out 520W, but at his weight, it would be a mere 6.76W/kg. I think that Gay puts out only 480 at LT, but that would well put him in the >6.9W/kg bracket, so he should crush him on Verbier.

If only the designers of the parcours would be less conservative, they could make the race a lot less predictable. They could learn a lot from the Italian and the Spanish.
