BTW S Yates was never down to ride Yorkshire[/quote]

Ah ok, had just never seen a "not found" in place of a rider name on that site before, perhaps it simply was not found.

Sutton left to run the show at BC.

Taylor left Cloughie to do it on his own because Taylor thought he could. This is a case of Sir Dave leaving Sutton to do it on his own because Shane thought he could. "So you think you can get by without me Shane do you. Well let's just give that a go."

Best thing that could have happened. Sky will be stable. British Cycling with Sutton in charge. As the eloquent poster put it a few years ago when Floyd wrote us his letter - I am going to pull up a chair and a case of beer. This is going to be one to watch.

Freddythefrog must have got through a lot of beer this week. :D

What end? After Festina cycle sport continued on it's merry way without changing, after Op Puerto cycle sport has continued on its merry way, after Armstrong and the Reason decision the sport has not blinked and continued on its merry way and not changing its culture and traditions!

i obviously meant the end of meteoric rise of british cyclists since its a thread about brits

Why?

Is Brian Cookson not running UCI?

There are more teams than Sky?

British cyclists seem to be looking abroad rather than the system at sky, Yates bros being first and others have followed to other teams.

Guys, take the tinfoil hats off. They put on the form when he took the doping test, that he was taking the b2 antagonist drug and they would likely find it in his sytem. It is allowed, with a TUE...just like a ton of other suspect drugs that likely shouldn't be allowed. Cortisone? No in competition, but still allowed with a TUE. Come on.

Albuterol/Salbuterol doesn't even require a TUE. Makes you wonder they that drug though??? Just take the crap you don't need a TUE for if you really have "asthma".

Been a good week for things that are good, that is for sure. Don't know how anyone who had worked near Sutton would have imagined he could run the show successfully. Only idiots would have promoted him. Interesting seeing some people move or attempt to justify their close association this week.

somewhere underneath all the jawdropping doping performances from the Giro, this seems to have been burried:

Sir Robin Bogg
‏@robinbogg

@rogerc32 @manutdinsights You 2 (1) are going to feel pretty stupid when it's revealed Sutton recommended Varnish take an illegal epidural
Anybody know more about this?
Even if it's a parody account, why make up an epidural?
Sounds to me like somebody with intel, but I could be wrong.

Almost all of Sir Robin Bogg tweets are sarcastic.
So I guess this one is too - take it with a pinch of salt, I say.
Agreed.
but "recommended Varnish take"? If he was being sarcastic, why not "injected Varnish with", or something.
and why an epidural, which most of his readers will have to look up, rather than something his readers know the meaning of.
Just saying, this particular tweet didn't sound sarcastic to me. But I could be wrong.

Well...he is at a book festival promoting his book
Haha. So predictable. It reminds me of when Froome's animal cruelty history was revealed, and we had posters arguing that its perfectly ok to torture animals. And when Fround questioned if Wiggins was the strongest there were plenty of sky fans attacking women's rights. And now, an internationally recognized anti mafia campaigner who's work has helped damage organized crime and who lives every day of his life under the threat of death, well even his honour is open to being questioned.

all in defense of the sainthood of wiggins and brailsford
