I have been misinformed. I thought you guys all had zip ties on your helmets to protect against magpies. I was hoping to see yellow ones on Evans' helmet.

It's not quite magpie swooping season. That starts in a couple of weeks. But I agree that would have been a sight

I actually got there and got a good view of cadel. My lecture finished much earlier than I thought so got there at 11:20. I was a little bit after the Congratulations Cadel banner. It was a shame that some people were really impatient even though some of us got there an hour early, others self importance and ego resulted in them pushing in front of people. I told this old bag to get lost after she tried to push in front.

It was a great honour but some of it was a little sycophant at times. Even funnier was that Gillard got booed.

The magpie out the front of my house doesn't care about the 'season', been swooping since July!

well, I went to the event and I recorded both the SBS and the Chanel 7 coverage.

Gotta say that Sandy roberts and the commentators at 7 murdered the lack of organisation at SBS. for all that some people claim they brought cycling to Australia, they dropped the ball today

what? Channel 7 was horrible! They cut out so many parts just so we could listen to this random cyclist and dave culbert. They also went to so many ads. Channel 9 was the best - which is not surprising. They showed it all and didn't go to any ads.
