Damn. He was so fit, finally starting to look like he had that 2013 Flèche/Liège/Giro form back. And the downtime is likely to set him back more than it would for others, unfortunately. We know he's a guy that really needs to stay on the bike as much as possible..

His legs look so thinny here. I hope this crash doesn't make betancur a unprofessional rider again. Valverde is aging (if I can say this) and he will be the leader in ardennnes.

This is very bad because of how long we have been waiting for this. Because many people, including myself, thought he was done.

Really hope that he can quickly come back to this form again.

That is great TBH. Anacona when in shape can be a workhorse. Betancur was finally coming to great fitness level. Hope he can keep it up. Maybe just pair him with Bala to motivate him.

Let's see if there's a simple explanation. If we dont get any more info (or Betancur races elsewhere at the same time), I get the feeling that the drama continues. Really hard to think of any good reasons for him to skip the biggest race in his home country.

Jesus! Betancur finally was back on track at the Vuelta and had the chance to lead Movistar at the 2018 Giro. Dammit!

Could've aimed for a top 5 spot or even higher on the general classification...
