You mean 2017.

Yes - As long as Betancur works hard in the off-season which is no certainty he can have a strong 2017.
I've said it before and I'll say it again - send Betancur here for the Australian summer after some off season prep with the Quintana Bros. A fit Betancur would smash the TDU and give him some confidence.

he won't go there obviously. there's also always summer in colombia, yet he never trains there. he just wants to be with his family. fortunately they all moved to spain I heard is it's important he stays there this winter and trains.

The only thing in common between the Quintanas and Betancur is the passport.
They don't live in the same area, they don't have same interests.
Betancur is closer to Arredondo, or even Acevedo and Urán.
Even the Henaos, who are from the same Department (state or province), seem somehow different.

A wise suggestion - A fit Betancur could do well in GC.

I was thinking along the lines of same team, then Unzue would have some form of oversight and feedback, there with Betancur in person. Another option would be a Falls Creek training camp with Rory Sutherland.

However, if Betancur has relocated his family to Spain like Ryo has suggested, maybe Unzue plans on checking in with him in person.

That has to be some camera lens thing, right? He looks like he has dwarfism.

This one looks more normal and he looks ok to me. The other photo was clearly distorted and Carlos was unlucky enough to be on the end of the line where the distortion was at it's worst.

Don't think we can take too much from the last race of the season. It is easy to criticise but we don't know what he was being asked to do and how much work he may have done before the TV coverage started. At least he is riding and finishing.

Yes, that photo looks super awful, but he looks much better on the photo Movistar posted on their Facebook today. Its probably a case of half lens, half Betancur cause he sure as hell isn't super fit. Not that it matters that much at this point tho. Still hopes he will be fit come the Giro.

That's just camera distortion from a mobil, come on.

I doubt the Bettini brothers take photos with phones. ;)

It does seem a bit distorted though. Here's a better picture.

Rasmussen and Armstrong are in better shape right now to race a grand tour. Enough said ... It ain't funny anymore ... Betancur finally needs to prove a point this year.
Even Ulle is probably in better shape right now. :D

Pictures?

Doesn't bode well. First he was scheduled at Down Under, now he is missing the team presentation.
