Nope.

What I am saying is that there seem to be plenty of posters on this board who aren't interested in discussion or debate of any kind, and just come here to spew invective against riders they don't like and troll.

Enough with your moral compass bull crap! You don't even know what hate is, yet you keep using it like a immature teen...Sorry your boy Cav is getting all this heat...I don't see hate, what I see are fans (and riders) who are sick of his behavior...

Could you show me some 'invective' that I may have 'spewed' in the direction of Cavendish?

Is everyone who thinks that Cav was wrong a 'troll'?

Hey buddy. I'm making generalisations here. I am not talking about you specifically or any specific thing you have said. I am not even talking about just this thread or just people who don't like Cav.

Actually your line of 'conversation' is remarkably troll-like. Tons of posters have put up perfectly logical discussion about why Cav is not just "a little wild and headstrong", but actually really out of line - but you don't respond to that really, you just start calling people haters (either cos you enjoy trolling and/or cos you love Cav).

Funny i mention it now, if Cav was a bit brighter he'd make a brilliant troll :D

But whatever, the majority of posts I'm seeing in this and the other thread are on the right track about Frodo, that's enough for me :)

Ahahahaha yes I am a troll. Great. Well done. Because this thread is totally about discussing the crash incident.

I don't think anyone, even the few people like me who do actually like Cav, are saying that the crash wasn't his fault, but this thread was never about that. It should be obvious to anyone from the title and the original post that this thread is for people who don't like Cav to get together and swap stories about how much of a **** he is, and that's just fine, but don't call it what it isn't.

Jamsque - you are not out of line on this (as if you needed telling)- anyone would think the kid had done something reallty bad - like organise a systematic doping programme for young riders or race for 2 years when you should have been banned...

The idea that Jamsque is a troll is pathetic really, and shows how narrow-minded the 'consensus' on this message board is.

He's a kid who ****ed up a sprint, and there was a bad crash. That's bike racing...

I call BS on that comment...he is a grown (kinda) adult who only acts like a kid...

In an attempt to put this into context this is a review of a video on Sean Kelly's career: `We get to see many of Kelly's sprint finishes, showing his tactics (which often included pushing and shoving his rivals, and resulted in disqualification more than once)'. I seem to remember Jan Raas being particularly vexed by Kelly's sprint tactics during one Tour.

You are right - he did screw up the sprint, it was not malicious but it was stupid.

But it was his fault and he should have been man enough to admit it. He is no longer a kid, he is 25 & over 3 years a pro.

But saying anyone who does not think that Cav is wrong in this incidence is a 'hater' is a pretty lame 'strawman' that borders on trolling.

This is what I mean about the Frodo fanboys making excuses for him. He could have ****ed on HH and the fanboys would still be excusing it. It's called 'enabling' isn't it?

Actually, I generally like Cav and have said so many times. However, in inventing the thread, I was well aware of the content that would take place before I ever typed a word. I also think he was a freaking moron to make the move he did. That is why I titled the thread with "idiot."

Sorry, I should have re-phrased that. The posters here never get tired of hating full stop.

There is not doubt Cav is veeeery talented, my beef with him is that he disrespects the competition, thinking he's above and beyond great, There is one thread I opened some time ago regarding this very thing, and sure enough, here are the results of his cockiness. Train hard, so you can win races, so you can become great, become a true champion, respect your peers, and please shut the f up.

"There is a lot of jealousy in the platoon, because Mark won many races last year. "

Sorry, but if he would behave like a true champion, the peloton wouldn't have any problem with that. Even Piva can't really admit what the real problem is and that doesn't certainly help Cavendish, because he can't figure the real problem out either.
Mr. Piva: What about the comments against Greipel, the finger in the nose comments, the spitting reaction and his other words after the crash, which was mostly his fault, the gesture after his win in romandie, ...........

“He backed off a bit from his line, but others did, too.”
That comment certainly won't make Haussler and Ciolek happy. He TOTALLY left ist line and perhaps the others backed of "abit from the line". But we have already discussed that. What about saying sorry? He's even making the situation worse. Irresponsible...

2 years ago, I tended to like Cav, but know I just want him to loose really bad.

Oh dear, that won't help him.

Agreed, you hit the nail on the head on all points here, thank-you :)

When you are 23/25 you think you are a grown-up, but when you are 40+ you realise you were just a 'kid'. I mean not very grown-up, probably quite full of yourself, not really aware of the effect your behaviour has on others etc The guy needs to do some growing-up therefore he is a 'kid'. I see plenty of immature behaviour in many sportsmen - if everyone were like Chris Hoy, things would be well-mannered, but a bit dull.

I'm not excusing this particular incident, but I would need to see him make a habit of it, before coming up with some of the vitriol that we have seen.

Regular posters who get cycling, and have made reasonable comments, know who they are and know they are not the people being referred to. There are a quite a few posters, with low post count, who have shown up just to join in a thread with a title which is all flame...

Oh, bull. He's exactly a day older than me. I pull the **** he's pulling I'd get called on it in a heartbeat. He's old enough to not act like a 12 year old.
