And he's good against the clock too. Given that these are 5x1.1 races, it makes sense for the smaller teams like Skil to rack up the points while they can too.

Break caught at 17k. Gilbert attacked within 10km, but got brought back. Garmin and Rabobank leading the peloton. 6km to go.

Hopefully, that will be the end of the sprint fests, as the race now heads West and into them tha hills.
A pity there doesn't even seem to be race highlights anywhere, this year.
A sign of the precarious financial situation Spanish racing finds itself in.
