everyone who says that Froome isn't at his 2013 level is delusional. He is just as strong as last year, but it's just unfortunate that this year, the great one is back to his form :D. Also, last year everyone is behind sky so called scientific training. Looks like this year everyone is catching up... Coffee anyone? :D

Froome is clearly hurt from that crash every damn person on the forum know's that. 12th in dauphinee sounds legit right?. Like you said he has had a few bits of bad luck this year.

Can he return to form for the TDF or is this done. Only person i remember doing well after a crap CdD is Nibali in 2012, surely an injury at this time can not be fixed, unlike Nibali Froome actually crashed. Im really worried for the TDF because i think if he does not crash Froome would be fine. If Froome is on stage 2 form and does not drop Contador that is perfect but i can't see it. I no many will disagree but the win will be tainted, if Froome is completely awful than clearly Contador is lucky.:)

i hope he will be back strong in le tour.

he is strong, he win the time trial and the first MTF in dominant fashion, all these laps happened after he took the fall. But nobody can guarantee he won't fall in the Tour, especially he keeps looking down his handlebar not watching the road ahead.

Froome has had to work harder than Contador the past month, to catch up for the time he lost during T-A. Under normal conditions he won't be fresh in the third week, again.

For the vast majority of his career i'd say it's a step up.

Haha so true it is but you no what i mean he was easily strongest first 2 days then bang aftercrash he is below Talansky and Contador. Also what proves crash hurt him, is when Hesjedal caught him yday that proves it as Hesjedal was in break.

I hope you enjoyed winning in 2013 Froome, cause it's not happening again in 2014. :D

Why does everyone champion a doper like Contador and revile the likes of Armstrong, when essentially they are much the same. At least the jury is still out on Sky, though no doubt the truth may come out in the future?

Contador's behaviour is of a real gentleman - Armstrong was not.
Froome ain't much of a generous fellow either.

Are you in the Wiggo groupie dude?

You sure did not pick a great word for Froome, "generous". Not generous to chuck away 2 GT's eh? Also he is way to selfish to try and beat Valverde when the TDF is already won? That is so selfish of Froome. I mean he never helps anyone why do his teammates even race with him such a nasty guy:rolleyes:.

Froome is nothing like LA and neither is Contador. So don't try putting Froome near the LA scale.

How long do you think it will to see of the effects of the crash, has he enough time to recover?

He'll be fine. He probably wants to do me more block of training before the TDF and then rest up.

come on it was not an extremely terrible crash, but CF don't have much fat or muscle tissue, so it may hurt his bones for a while. I think he should be able to fully recover in 3-7 days.

Im just worried surely it takes someone's form away i mean it is less than 3 weeks till the TDF. He may recover but can never recover what he had surely?

I have confidence to see a full alien mode CF in the Tour without any doubt, he can pick up things ultra fast. But I am more interested to see how the British medium reacts to CF's result, especially if W can put on a good show in the Swiss.

Nope. I didn't think he'll go to training camp. He'll go check out the TDF route in the mountain, then rest up. That's the last news I read about him. I read it at cylingquotesdotcom. You can search for his article, lazy to find it since it was couple days ago. So it's buried.

I believe the lack of generosity and general pettiness posters are referring to are in reaction to the mean-spirited pettiness of his book.

The Dauphine was not kind to Froome. His crash obviously affected him--I think he deserves some props from trying to bluff his way to a win when injured. I also think the media sheet-storm brewing up today has to have also had an impact (this is not clinic material: I'm not saying anything about the validity or lack of validity of the charges). Can you imagine what the press conference would have been like if Froome had won today? Physically and psychologically the man has had a very rough couple of days. I hope he's completely recovered for the Tour, so we can have the battle everyone wants to see.

The crash might actually turn out to be a blessing in disguise. That way he might not burn out in the 3rd week like he somewhat did last year

Froome's been pushed aside. Contador now needs to size up the real opponents on his list and not take any of them lightly, including Purito.
