Froome looked amazing during the TTT.Sky did better than expected, but it looks like some Sky riders are not in great shape.

To be honest Sky hardly brought a strong team for the TTT after Froome/Porte/Thomas/Konig there is quite a drop in the time trial quality. So the fact they got this close tells me they're in great shape. Most teams brought at least 1/2 riders just for the TTT, Sky built their team almost entirely for the mountains

so it's the graph today will show Froome and TJ as constant and contador is going up?

Froome and TJ will both be going up due to Nibali falling away. Contador about the same, because he still lost time to CF and TJ

If Froome goes berserk in the first mountain stage he basically can ride in full Covadonga mode for the rest of this Tour.

Froome is firmly in command now, and could afford to merely defend his lead as others might have done, were they in his position, but thankfully, Froome only rides one way in the mountains, and that's full ***. (Yoyo is reserved for the lesser races I think)

I'm not so sure about this.If he's reading this forum he should have learned by now that he'll be crap in the 3rd week.So if he's considering this,it's time to do it Wiggo's way :D

Like the "Froome can't do cobbles" and the "Froome can't do hilltops" hypotheses, now disgraced, Froome necessarily having bad days, peaking for the first week and being crap in the third week too are instances of wishful thinking.

@SeriousSam what stages do you think are most likely to be won by Froome if you had to rank them?

IMO:

PSM
PdB
Alpe
Toussuire
Mende
Pra-Loup

Yes, where does the bad day idea come from anyway?

Unfortunately it looks like Froome the ****** is in command now..unless he falls. Contador has reached his limits...Quintana doesn't have enough and is already too far off. Nibali is weaker than all the contenders. The French are cooked. Valverde is done. Van Garderen might stay a little closer (maybe 5 or 6 minutes by the end. The races now are for the Polka dot and Green. The rest is ****

Contador has reached his limits? Based on what?

PSM seems like a safe bet.I would be very surprised if he doesn't win it.Alpe might be a target too, because he missed it in 2013.But what do i know,i'm not Serious Sam :)

Froome and Sky have been magnificent. The first nine stages could not have gone any better for them.

If Froome stays strong then he will win this race easily. However, I think this is going to be a really interesting couple of weeks and Sky will be tested to keep the jersey. They have had to work hard so far and this could make defending in the mountains quite difficult as lots of riders are well placed to attack. Konig and Thomas look to be best placed to help out.

Movistar are in an interesting position. They should send Valverde on the attack in the Pyrenees as Sky will be forced to chase. Quintana looks very strong and I expect him to ride very strongly in the mountains.

I'd like to see TJVG on the podium but he has to prove he can get through a three week tour without having a bad day.

Contador is hard to read. He's only just over a minute down and can't be written off.

Nibali looks off form. I think he could lose a lot of time in the Pyrenees.

Uran and Rodriguez are interesting outsiders. Uran could get on the podium if he rides like he has in the Giro in 2013 and 2014. Rodriguez could be the joker in the pack. He is currently 3.52 down but if his climbing legs are good he still has the possibility to stir things up.

Would like to see Barguil do well.

We know, dont be afraid, we know. And, dont mention Astana. Even more secs on those nasty Giro disrupters.

Good old Johnny English, puke smiley.
