Good to see Froomey finishing the Astana Expo
International Criterium safely in the bunch. The
Top Dawg did put in a little dig off the front with
two or three laps to go before moving aside for
the fast finishers.

Excellent that the legend that is Ed Clancy took the
win today, exactly one year after winning Olympic
Team Pursuit Gold in Rio with a World Record time.

In third place today in Astana was @scottysundo
Australia's two-time and defending Commonwealth
Games Kilometre TT champ who recently won the
prologue, the final stage and the points jersey at
the Tour of Hungary.

Ah so it was actually not fixed for a change!

totally shocked, if I was to say one of these races were fixed it would have been this one

I wonder what Froomey and Landa chatted about on the private plane
that transported them from the Astana Expo International Criterium to
the Profweilerronde Etten-Leur? :)

Was it what they accomplished together over the last couple of years or
what they might accomplish together over the next couple of years? :surprised:

The Top Dawg is looking very happy and relaxed with just less than a week to go before the the start of the Vuelta.

Some folks create their own reality.

Wait what? You're going to need to elaborate on that a little bit.

Edit: Ah nvm, picture from last year apparently? Though if I fell for it I don't see why the poster couldn't have also. Let's assume that before assuming they are delusional.

However to the point what is there to suggest Froome isn't relaxed before la Vuelta if that is what you are questioning?

look at Dumo's jersey (2016) and for the details spotters: Froome's old Sidis, Rapha shorts, 2016 yellow oakleys and no yellow 2017 kask helmet (and even Rapha among the list of sponsor on the yellow jersey)
that's a 2016 pic, not this year before the Vuelta

Look at the jersey of the guy Froome is talking to. Giant/Alpecin is no longer a team. Alpecin joined up with Katusha for 2017. As is said above, this is from 2016 when Giant was lead (well co-lead) sponsor of a World Tour team.

Despite the end result not being ideal Froome looked very strong today, his plan of a quieter first half of the season and building towards the double looks very good.

Winning the Tour after not being at his very best could pay dividends here.
