Into the Top 30. Froome is just slow-timing his peak for the Tour.

I really hope so, he has some open business with the Czech Tour from 2023. Hopefully he can peak for his season highlight this year in July.

Today's rolling Stage 4 of the Tour of Rwanda with a Cat 1; three Cat 2's and a Cat 3 climb has concluded with Froome finishing 41st - 1min 19secs behind the winner.
Overall, Froome is now 32nd. 3mins and 37secs down on the race leader.
Tomorrow's Stage 5 is a (not too steep) straight uphill grind of 13K.
It will be an interesting test of Froome's form.

He got the first breakaway of the day and won the first sprint at Rubengera, Km 13,5 andhe is now 6th at general clasification. An sprint that mark and before and an after on his comeback,😜

I don't think it's against the rules to wildly hype riders, who are long past their prime.
Bit weird, sure, but not prohibited.

That is usually the same thing, as the other one is usually called the points classification. Anyway, all I'm saying is that Taxus' point, which wasn't to be taken overly serious anyway, got lost in translation.

If Froome doesn’t finish higher than last year this can only be looked at as a disappointment after being able to freewill the TTT and take the day off.

He will finished this race IMO among the 10 strong riders. Today he got a break, first at the sprint, after at the front helping his mates and didnt lose too much time. it is ok.
Tomorrow the team will prefer he save energy to help the team next days, but I would like he making a good test. Anyway the team prefer him not far in GC to make other teams work if he attack as today, so I have the hope he try it.

On the bright side, he finished the stage 10 minutes ahead of Vinokourov, so something is going well… never mind, that’s 10 minutes ahead of Vino Jr.

Froome is just chilling out in Rwanda, saving the good stuff for the Tour in July - The Czech Tour, that is.
