I never thought I would react in a Chris Froome topic but mayybee he just likes the sport. Just like the oldies Rebellin, Mancebo, Sevilla did/do. For next year he should ride with Unibet Rockets and start the Tour. Just for fun and a YouTube video of Bas.
I mean, that's a different thing, if he continues like that instead of extorting millions than good for him.

We will probably know next year if he truly loves the sport or he is there for the money. Rebelin, Sevilla and Mancebo rode at a relatively low level with presumably low salary.
If Froome really loves the sport, there will be a team to approhim and he will accept.

Somehow I doubt that though. He loves the sport for as long as ot gives him sufficient income.

If he loved the sport he would have done much better the last 5 years. Nobody is gonna offer him any amount of money that's gonna dissuade him from retiring.

Problem for Froome is that he won‘t get a contract at any level now unless someone foregoes all sporting considerations to pull a publicity stunt.
he can just start is own team. get some sponsors, and he will ride all the low tier races for sure, perhaps even some Pro races.

Nor should they. He’s a thief at this point
I don't think that's fair. Don't blame Chris Froome, blame the moron who signed a 35 year old rider to a 5 year contract on 5.5 million euros a year, 2 years after he suffered a major crash and 3 years after his last grand tour victory. I have never understood why they signed him to such a long contract - why not 2 years with an option to renew?

I do blame Adams for signing him. It seemed obviously ridiculous. However all the BS Froome has spouted the last few years makes him a thief and anyone that believes him a fool.

Adams is a bit of a sucker , at the same time he signed Froome, he paid for a constructor millions to renovate his new apartment in Israel. the contractor, like Froome, took all the money and hardly did anything in return. he sue the contractor and won the trial recently. i don't think he can do the same with Froome, however.
