Good to hear he an Wiggo are buddies again, the book will not be an issue.

Maybe Wiggo will be happy with the book but I know at least one Sky employee who will not be so happy when the book drops right before the Tour

Most riders spend the run up the Tour riding, sleeping, not eating......Froome goes spear fishing.

An orange juice would have been better, but the honey lacing is appropriate too.
And what's the story behind the spear gun fishing? Michelle doesn't wriggle enough?

That article. Lol.

I also think that for anyone who breaks the rules, it’s got to be impossible to slip through the cracks of the anti-doping system

An even greater incentive, he says, is to prove successive Tours can be won without the assistance of banned substances. ‘That for me would be the first prize,’ he says. ‘Armstrong was the last guy to win successive Tours and we know how he did it now. I’d like to break that image, certainly.’

LOL

:D

Remember guys, use the clinic to discuss the article from a doping point of view.

I´m allergic to the clinic, but just to copy Laflo, he makes some hilarious statements.

Good post Race

It is about time Brailsford's poor management is public. When there is a conflict on the team it is up to Team Management to address the issue, not ignore it and hope it goes away.

Reminds me of the Hinault/LeMond mess in 1986. While it is easy to point fingers at either rider it was Köchli's poor management that resulted in the escalation of the conflict.

Doesn't come across very well in this interview, can't really warm to him anyway.

Put yourself in his shoes. I used to be a Wiggins fan back in -09 but seeing how he acted during the 2012 Tour makes me sick. A little c*nt is what he is. He only won because the strongest rider was not allowed to attack him. I will never forget Wiggins smug face when he crossed the finish line on the stage when Froome attacked but was called back. Seriously, has there ever been a more undeserving winner since 1985?

Seriously, can a Tour leader be more pathetic?

"If someone attacks me, I want to go home!"

But I still think Froome acted weak. If I was Froome, I would have have drilled it so hard I could once Wiggins dropped. Then let Wiggins pack his bags and go home if that's what he wants. Or can your team throw you out of the tour for such a thing? I mean, do teams have the authority to remove riders from the race for any reason?

Ask Rasmussen if a team can pull you out of a race for any reason.

He is under contract from Sky, Sky at that time still wanted their first Tour win so put all their eggs in that basket. Not saying I agree with that but it's Sky's call and as they pay their wages they can instruct their riders to do what they wish. If I went against my boss at work then I could potentially be sacked, would you go against your employees wishes? I doubt it. Again not saying I agree but that is Sky's decision, Froome is not weak for doing as his employer tells him to do, especially when that employer has lead him to a Tour win and made him financially very well off.

Let's not forget Froome was rewarded with the Tour team built around him (and still is) so he has hardly suffered.

Froome makes it look like Wiggins totally couldn't follow Nibali on the road to La Toussuire

This leads back to the debate of Wiggins TT vs Froomes mountain ability. Do you jeopardise the yellow jersey for the team for the sake of individual ego?

As much of an *** Wiggins can be, Froome comes across as a spoilt brat. The team had spent years planning for Wiggins to win and he had the jersey, why jeopardise it?! It's a shame Thomas hasn't shown more promise in GTs as he is far more likeable than Froome or Wiggins.

Wiggins has, in my opinion, matured greatly this year. He seems to now recognise his good fortune in the past and the help he received in achieving what he did in 2012

The timing of this book is terrible, hardly going to gel the team together for the Tour.
And publicly criticising Dave Brailsford, who's in charge of Team Sky?

Surely books of this type should be published in retirement?

Saw article in Times today. I just don't see why book is released now. How long will it take press to wind Wiggins up over this.
