Funny how Froome gets on well with the rest of the team and is liked by them but do carry on trolling :D

Apologies, I forgot it was in Yorkshire next year. Doesn't change anything regarding Froome though.
It really doesn't change a thing regarding your posts.

Froome thought's on the Tour route, possible Giro/Vuelta double next year:

"The team and I will have to give it some careful consideration before we make any commitments to which of the grand tours I will compete in. I see myself as quite a balanced GC rider and the Giro with it's inclusion of a long TT of 60km and tough uphill finishes will make it a well balanced race which suits me well. If I did the Giro I may also be able to get myself back to top shape for the Vuelta and go there with a realistic chance of aiming for the win".

"In the past I've only targeted one grand tour each season but it could be a good opportunity for me to focus seriously on two. It's still early days though and we'll have to sit down and put our heads together as a team to work out what 2015 is going to look like for us."

dawg quitting already. does the tour of britain have a ITT?

Why not choose a route that suits him? Most others do it but I guess it only matters when you hate the rider. :p:D

I hope more riders don't go to the Tour, that'd be the best signal for the route designers.

As it stands it could mean we get Contador, Froome, Aru in Giro. Nibali, Contador and Quintana in Tour and then maybe Froome v the Spanish in the Vuelta.

LEOPOLD KOENIG to the Tour, and Froome to Giro+Vuelta.

I liked Leo, now he rides for Sky I like him even more. he can shine again next year in France

Agreed. Hopefully this is not just Froome venting and he'll actually go through with it.

Not a good Tour route for Froomey. He should do the Giro-Vuelta combi instead. Porte to lead in the Tour.

He's supposedly arguably the best versus the clock and in the mountains. How can a route not suit him other than the one stage with cobbles?

Agreed. Choosing to skip the Tour is like acknowledging he's not the best climber anymore

More like acknowledging that he's a ****ty bike handler. Two descent finishes, a cobbled stage and possible echelon stages aren't exactly in his favor.

Assuming this is not all "politics" from the teams that are into revenue sharing with RCS.

I think it is risky to go for 1 GT. He as a backup plan if he messes the Giro up. He also deserves far more than Nibali to be in the 3 GT club so hope he gets it. People saying he is not diverse haha, i also love how Froome has changed many peoples mind's on him.

Froome doing Giro-Vuelta double makes sense if he wants to join the club Contador and Nibali is in. And then only focus on the Tour in 2016.

The Tour route certainly looks like an invitation for the double addressed to Froome.

I would agree. We may actually get a real battle at the Giro AND the Tour between Froome and Contador. I for one won't be complaining if that comes to fruition.

Now if we can get Nibali to saddle up for both we'd have something :D

I hope he goes to the Giro and try to do the Vuelta after.

Smart move of him and it would be great for the Giro. Skip the Tour Froome! Hope he sticks with it, but I think the pressure from Sky will be too big. He will be forced to ride the TdF.

I'd say Nibali has decided what he'll do the moment he's seen the Tour route.

Perfect opportunity for Froome to do the Giro - Tour double imo.

If Dawg can somehow survives the first week in the Tour he could win both GTs here.

It is actually not a bad idea for Froom. He already won the Tour, why not take Giro and Vuelta in a single year therefore joining the exclusive club of winning all three grand tours.
