Definitely, the panache of winning 4 GT’s in a row would be insane. He is extremely brave to attempt the giro-tour double when he could have just followed his standard formula and won a fifth tour and become one of the legends “the easy way”. He’s always pushing the envelope which makes him exciting to watch these later years. In the beginning he was boring because of his and Sky’s dominance, but by continually raising the bar for himself he’s made cycling very exciting outside the classics.

Froome's crashed in 2013 Tour*1, 2014 Tour *3, 2015 Vuelta*1, 2016 Tour*1, 2017 Giro*2 & now 2018 Tour*1.

The funny this is that he won 3 out of those 5 previous GTs he crashed in...

Sky should focus on "marginal gains" on awareness and instincts. Unfortunately you can't have the cozy protection of the "sky train" in front of the peloton every single time

They will be all in for Froome and G will be expected to toe the line when required, I can't see him going rogue, his only chance of competing in the race is if Froome ships more time and time and they need him as the backup plan.

Yes, there would be so many attacks, then it will be resolved in last 1 km, I think.
EDIT: Unless CF will lose a few minutes everybody will work for him.
EDIT #2: No, even if CF lost a few minutes, SKY will be remembered Finestre. So, to be honest, no chances for Thomas to be a leader untill CF has no chances overall.

Agreed. He was a bit stupid trying to ride into a gap that wasn’t there. He was hopelessly out of position as well and not at the front as he stated. He does tend to lie a bit.
