I'd give him a pass to do the Tour one more time...but I'm not paying his tab. Israel must feel so promotional advantage and this would serve notice that they're hoping for a stage win.In fairness I think its Froome who needs to accept there is possibility that he is 'no longer able to contend for meaningful prize, that his time has passed'
At this point, given all of their ridiculously stupid decisions, I actually think they deserve to get relegated.I'd give him a pass to do the Tour one more time...but I'm not paying his tab. Israel must feel so promotional advantage and this would serve notice that they're hoping for a stage win.
Harsh, but fair...Seeing that ISN is hunting points of which Froome will be no help, it makes sense to have him in a three week race, instead of shorter stage races or one day races.
Froome to win on PDBF from the break, just to get us to love that iconic climb even more.
Israel Startup Nation did a deal to sign Chris for €15 million, his Palmares are unchallengeable, he had a terrible accident that brought him close to death, and resulted in him having to learn how to walk again, he then had to learn how to ride a bike again!
Yet he still finishes ahead of other riders in UCI world tour riders sure he is not in the top ten but I wonder how many of those on here being so critical of the man could achieve that?
Chris knows how SKY trained and won, what systems they had in place to support their incredible success and from what I read he seems to lift those around him.
So given that professional cycling is a business, can anyone give a good reason as to WHY, the Israel Startup Nation team would not attempt to recoup some of the investment they have in Chris by NOT taking him to the Tour?
I am not a huge fan of the manner in which he won but I cannot deny his victories INCLUDING his fight back against near-death give the man a break it is too easy sitting on the couch typing smug nonsense and YES I am sure there will be some that say this piece falls into that category.
And if I only could,
I'd make a deal with God,
And I'd get him to swap our places,
Be running up that road,
Be running up that hill,
Of four-time winner Froome, who will line-up for Israel Premier Tech, Wiggins said: “He may surprise us all. GC may be beyond him, but it would be nice to see him up the road in a break and pull off a stage win.”
he didn’t break his head, didn’t have brain trauma where he had to relearn basic things.
Froome's words, not mine! But what I think he meant was, he had to retrain his body to do the things he used to instinctively, like walk and ride a bike fast, but what do I know!he didn’t break his head, didn’t have brain trauma where he had to relearn basic things.
Camera adds 10 pounds or something.Good luck, Chris!…
He, however, looks chubby - slightly overweight…
So what excuse can I use for the extra 3 stone? Apart from beer.Camera adds 10 pounds or something.
There are 4 cameras on you at any time?So what excuse can I use for the extra 3 stone?
Skeletor is definitely heavier looking than with SkyCamera adds 10 pounds or something.
What for example?I doubt it. But strange things have happened before in the TdF.
What for example?
