Yeah, it's "hard miles" for the GOAT of GTs.Is " hard yards" not a rugby or American football term? If Froome is gone from hard miles to hard yards that is not a good sign.

At least Sagan was 32-33 when (2022-2023) he raced for TotalEnergies and, albeit getting a crazy salary, at least it was only a two year contract.Another Sagan Special for the year - a good salary for zero results.
A bold assumptionthinking?
It will never stop being funnyAt least Sagan was 32-33 when (2022-2023) he raced for TotalEnergies and, albeit getting a crazy salary, at least it was only a two year contract.
Froome in 2021 was already 36 and had been doing way worse than Peter, yet got a 5 year generous contract from Israel:
what were they even thinking?

Sagan's decline was gradual. Froome's decline is similar to his early career. He went from nothing to everything, and he's gone from everything to nothing. At least Sagan was 32-33 when (2022-2023) he raced for TotalEnergies and, albeit getting a crazy salary, at least it was only a two year contract.

Sagan was pretty damned washed post COVID, he had like one highlight Giro stage win and then another Giro sprint win a year later and that's about it.Sagan's decline was gradual. Thanks for the update Tony.Welcome back Christopher Clive Froome.
After suffering a broken collarbone at the UAE Tour in February the just-completed five-day Tour of the Alps was a comeback race for him.
Today, Froome was placed 76th out of the 78 finishers, 1hr 18mins and 43secs behind overall winner Michael Storer.
Great stuff.
I think Chris is on the record as stating this was his objective post-crash.He is starting to find some consistency
Stage 1: 74th
Stage 2: 73rd
Stage 3: 76th
Stage 4: 76th
Stage 5: 71st
Overall: 76th
Quintana needed 4 weeks long GTs, Van Aert needs 400km long monuments, and now Froome needs a 7 year long contract.I think Chris is on the record as stating this was his objective post-crash.
First it was to achieve equal power in the legs, then improver his position on the bike.
So, yep. All pointing in the right direction.
