If people were still on the fence, i guess this seals it.
CIRC is a joke.

That is one way to look at it..

But the commission can hardly say no when a Tour winner offers his contribution.

In this case I'd rather question Froomes motives then the CIRC's.

If something will come of the report he can claim sainthood on the part of contributing.. Very good PR -and much in line with the SKY/brailsford Mantra...

Maybe he can write (another) book with Walsh of how he saved cycling :p

It could of course also be that he got an invite due to a JTL contribution and is selling it as his own initiative...

A lot of "dunnos" I think...

The CIRC document is being looked at by UCI's lawyers to take out anything that maybe litigious.

CIRC is a joke if UCI is 'editing' it and have the final say.

That is what everyone assumes. I hope CIRC asked Armstrong about it and got on the record one of confirmation / denial / refuse to answer

Lance's lawyers wrote / edited / cleared the questions he was asked.

The chances of ever getting the truth from this liar are unfortunately pretty remote.

More along the lines of changing "XYZ" to "Rider/DS 1".

If that needs to be done it needs to be done by independent lawyers, not UCIs.

Also it is a report. They can use the word 'alleged' if they dont have proof to back accusations. Hiding names is not good.

Doesn't that depend on whether he was invited or not, and whether he declined to talk? After all no-one was forced to contribute.

Was Froome invited?

If so, and if Landis wasn't invited / was ignored then CIRC must be operating on a different planet to the rest of the cycling world.

Perhaps ASO have a job lot of asterisks they need to get rid of and Froome* is the most favoured recipient.

That this Warren Commission (CIRC) has failed to talk to the guy who did more to blow the lid on the whole lot defies all logic - unless it's whitewash - in which case it makes perfect sense and is perfectly logical.

I know of someone who had to repeatedly contact the CIRC to talk - and had to come meet them rather than the other way round.

Let's just get this show on the road please, so I can get my ADD report that I've been promised would be coming end of the month for the past 2.5 years!

Maybe they will hold onto it until november and sell it as a christmas bestseller-book ;)

I hear they need some cash due to overtaking the battle against matchfixing without extra funding. Not so good when they already said that they are working spare-time on this long awaited report..

No wonder Lone Hansen made a run for it when offered the position as head of TeamDenmark.
Only question is if she was offered the position due to good work on the report.. We will see i guess..

In years past, there was a popular conspiracy theory around here that doping stories were only exposed within a few weeks ahead of the Tour.

In that case, we have a month or two yet.

Some of us, it should be noted, had the opposite view. That there was conspiracy to not report doping in the Tour and that this suppressed news following the event such that it looked like more news was reported prior to.

I've always wondered about the.. Should we say "timing" of these bad news...

I'am quite certain the UCI will publish the report at latest the weekend of 18-19 march where a big anti-doping conference is taking place in London..
Cookson is attending and it will give him a platform to control the narrative around the report as well as braod media coverage..

As for conspiracy theories here is one for you.

The ADD has said they will publish their report some time after CIRC..
This is a deal made with UCI because contrary to UCI they are actually aiming to open individual cases that might lead to sanctions..

The UCI and ADD has been working together but the CIRC report will be more a sum of past controversy resulting in recomendations for changes in the UCI ruleset and structure in general..

The UCI don't wan't all the attention going to the ADD report, thus they will take front seat in selling the report to the public and will of course be taking the honours if ADD succeeds in their endeavours...

Note: this is a critical theory, not necessarily my opinion....

Estoy tranquilo
corrected it for UCI, free of charge.

anyway, I agree. This seems to suggest the Circ report is not gonna spit in Contador's soup.

Because the intern running the twitter feed will have read the Circ report?

I don't know if Froome was invited or whether he volunteered. I also don't know if Landis was invited or not - I'd be disappointed if he wasn't. He may have refused to talk for all sorts of reasons - doesn't care, legal advice, etc.
