Here's a little more info on the Froome/CIRC issue:

http://www.gazzetta.it/Ciclismo/05-...ail-commisisone-indipendente-1102332512.shtml

Not the best G-translate so I don't know if that is the cause for all the contradictive statements...

Froome talks with the Circular of the fight against doping
British champion has discussed with the independent commission at the end of last season. Astana on the case "is hard, does not help the movement"

Chris Froome has revealed that he spoke with the Circ, the independent commission to reform the cycling UCI launched in February of 2014, the Federciclismo world, also to shed light on the dark years of doping. Now is the same Froome to break the news in an interview published in the British newspaper Daily Mail. British champion spoke to the commission of the challenges he faces second cycling in the battle against doping. Last year, many have spoken with the commission as witnesses on the condition of anonymity; but, for example, it is known that among people feel there was also Lance Armstrong. Next week the Circ reder? known its report after these months of hearings.

OPPORTUNITIES - Froome saw the invitation to everyone in the cycling world to talk to the Circ as an opportunity to give voice to the criticism of a cyclist peak. "With Circ - Froome says the Daily Mail - I spent some good hours at the end of last season to talk about the situation of sport and how, from the point of view of a cyclist, improve it. I think that cycling is definitely making many efforts to improve its image and leave behind the past. One of the things that gives me more confidence is the fact that the guys who cheat are discovered, means that the test work. It is not pleasant to know that you're running against those who break the rules. But if they are discovered this proves that the system works. "
IF ASTANA - "From the point of view of cyclist - continues Froome - you can not go to the starting line watching others and asking if'll run into someone who has the turbo. You can not do because doing so will likely lose the race even before starting . I think that we all play in the same field. " On the work of the world Federciclismo nell'antidoping. "We must have confidence in the UCI. On the case Astana, which could lose its license World Tour because of the positivity of the brothers Iglinskiy and the stop of Continental, Froome tells her:" It's hard because I really love cycling. But what happened Astana does not help the movement. "

Cycling, UCI, is trying to move its image beyond its past, but it is doing it only for PR purposes and the CIRC report will again be another piece of evidence that it is nothing more than a 'show' report.

We know nothing has convinced those in the sport that doping is bad. The Padua investigation shows that. Cookson's complete u-turn on his election promises shows that. Contador now a poster boy for UCI shows that. Going after Astana and not Riis shows that. Others in the sport have just as dirty a name as Riis and Vino but remain untouched. Rihs, Och and BMC still doing business as usual to name 1 team. But all of them could easily be called out over doping.

He was talking about talking to CIRC. Odd really that septic doesnt like that, after all I thought he wanted dopers to talk to CIRC? So if he doesn't want Foome talking to them he obviously doesnt think Froome is a doper ...

Cleans. Never tested positive. 2015 is going to be hilarious.

In theory, we have a stage racing showdown coming up.. I think there will be some sudden illnesses though.

With Froome front-running the report and Contador as UCI posterboy, that final report is going to be Vrijman 2.0.

At a 3million euro price tag during a tough economy, it better not be such a useless waste of money. Else Cookson will have some 'splaining to do. (To the fans. Who don't matter anyway.) The rest of the sport will carry on, happy with the new PR campaign of Clean New Beginnings or whatever.

Where did I say I wanted Froome to talk to them?

He is obviously never going to talk about his doping or doping withing sky/british cycling so why should I care? It's all for PR, so people like you can sleep easier at night.

I think he is talking about the Badzilla system.

If the other guys get caught, and he doesn't, then his system works.

Dave.

Froome probably wanted to show that he didn't do anything wrong in his TUE process. Zorzoli will be a scapegoat from the document and he (Cound probably told Froome...) went in to show that his "T"s were crossed and his "i"s were dotted.
what makes you think that?
i hope you're right, but as we speak UCI is editing the independent (cough) report for publication.

Speculation, but too connected to too many others; it would take too much editing to totally protect him.

While he still may be a UCI man, he can be painted as one of the old UCI men, not Cookson's.

Meh. I could get onboard with shortening Lance's life ban if - and only if - the ban years taken from Lance were given to Froome instead. :p

UCI Doper Pdf thingy said:
Rider: Christopher Froome
Ban Period: March 9, 2015 until March 8, 2023
Reason: Making a huge mockery of the sport and impeding its credibility and marketability
