Let's hear your opinion if you don't mind?

-Why do you think he talked to the CIRC..?
-Do you think it was by his own initiative?
-What do you imagine he contributed with?

Furthermore what do you think of the fact that he talked to them and chose to tell the press about it, right around the time Brailsford proclaimed yet another looking forward/taking responsabilty for cyclings future -mantra?

In your honest opinion -is it sincere?

My opinion: Purely for the optics.....maybe even baiting some other cleans riders?

While the report may shed light wrt some athlete's doping practices, I was lead to believe it's centered on UCI complicity/involvement. Or at least to an attempt to adress prior statements to that effect? Or am I wrong?

It will be the same there. New clean era at the UCI with Cookson in charge. Corruption stopped with McQuaid. etc etc.

Meanwhile we will surely get some hillarious doped up performances in the near future. Can't wait.

This makes me think the CIRC report might at least be interesting: http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/mcquaid-divulges-2017-worlds-contract-with-makarov

If anything reeks of 'getting ahead of the story', it is this. I have a feeling McQuaid is going to be dragged through the muck. This seems like a pathetic attempt to appear contrite in a completely minor way while distracting people from the big stuff that's going to come out, but it's beyond McQuaid's massive pride and ego to do even that. But, really? The story he spins is so completely absurd, that in July 2012 (when the Olympics were happening) he signed a contract with Makarov because he was thinking of not running for re-election due to the Armstrong affair (that he was actively slagging USADA on jurisdiction in the press at the time, and trying to sweep under the carpet because it didn't look like it'd stick), but then in October 2012 (after the Armstrong affair really broke and WELL after the Olympics) he reconsidered because he was all glowing about how 'the Olympics were a success'? That is some seriously weak stuff, Pat. I know that Cookson in charge presents a much less cartoonish villain that actually poses much more of an insiduous danger to lure smart people into thinking he's sincere, but god do I ever prefer his cautious and humble way of communicating ('there will be some uncomfortable truths') than Patty's arrogant, getting-away-with-it-because-he-can obvious buffoonery. Eff that guy, seriously.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to this CIRC stuff; I don't think it will be anything outrageous, but just more dirt and details into what we already know. I really hope Pat McQuaid gets a public flogging. Not literally. Or, whatever, maybe literally.

I personally did not expect anything from CIRC, it is another part of the circus that is professional sport.

it's an insult to the fan's brain.
the newspapers will buy & sell it though.

According to Hein Verbruggen, the report clearly states that Armstrong didnt test positive in the 2001 Tour de Suisse, and there was no corruption whatsoever during his reign:

http://www.nieuwsblad.be/sportwereld/cnt/dmf20150307_01567507/ [Dutch]

According to Verbruggen there was also no evidence against Armstrong, after USADA had released their reasoned decision on the web and everybody, maybe except him, had read it. He'll just bable on, he knows he is untouchable. Or maybe he is senile. It can be hard to know which is which of early stages of Alzheimers and top sports administration.

Of the few to get convicted in TVM trial was Andrei Mikhailov... now Katusha team doctor. Russian team has no "zero tolerance" policy

So called clean teams regularly beat the likes of Katusha. How? With dope of course.

Bet Mikhailov's name wont appear in CIRC. Wonder how many team doctor's names will appear? 1, Ferrari.....

I love this one from Knaven:

?I?ve never tested positive, therefore whatever Mikhailov has given is inevitably allowed. I don?t ask questions. For me it?s enough to know that whatever I take, I don?t test positive. I trust Mikhailov.?

That must be the line between illegal and unethical that they are currently riding.
i don't think this is the whole story.
every team and individual that wants to win races is riding this line.
imo, that alone cannot explain Sky's team domination in 2012 for instance, or the rise of Wiggins and Froome.
imo Sky are doing illegal stuff like EPO (or one of the 100+ variants) and AICAR and are supported by the UCI, allowing them to take it to full *** level and/or to pull riders when they raise a BP flag (e.g. Henao).

and let's not forget that EPO is incredibly easy to mask, e.g. using GAS6, clever microdosing, altitude training, etc.
AICAR is still undetectable, at least in the labs that UCI are using.;)
Do you have a source telling you that Sky riders aren't using that stuff?

Are you sure he's not tweeting about Sky doping methods?

Pretty much the logic I was expecting:

1. UCI are super committed to anti-doping
2. Doping is as pervasive as ever

Conclusion: UCI anti-doping campaign needs better marketing.

"One Doctor.....It was reported that this had been a planned approach by that group's management."

Could Brian Cookson OBE ask Sir David Brailsford in a public forum to deny that the "group" referred to is Team Sky and inform the press that at the time of these actions, one Brian Cookson OBE was on the board of the holding company of Team Sky.
