The Jaizkibel is now 93 km before the finish. Last year it was 63 km. This used to be the decisive climb, but they keep moving it further and further away. The Erlaitz, the toughest climb, also went from 43 km to 73 km before the finish. So the final 70 km only have those two short, steep ramps left.

Legend says he thought Pogačar was in the break so he made the jump to mark him.
Did anyone actually ask him why the hell he was chasing Pog around a flat ceremonial circut when his pals were all drinking champange and posing for photos at the back?

the reason for the change this year is Evenepoel, I guess. This way the race is not as likely to be decided with 1 1/2 hours to go again.

They will probably be on Erlaitz by the time the broadcast starts. 1.5 hours of live really isn't acceptable for a WT one-day race anymore...
Especially when the organisation decides to shift the main climbs to earlier in the race than before and doesn’t adapt the coverage

Remco Evenepoel, the Lew Alcindor of cycling. He who was said to be so good in collegiate basketball that they banned dunking the basketball. It would result in him developing the sky hook, the most unstoppable shot in the history of the game.

The unstoppable attack 50 kms plus from home....

I'm slowly becoming a Remco fan. It's logical.

And he only won because of Oscar and Magic....when it was a Mickey Mouse course.

When in reality, we're not Worthy :)
