The organization of the Classic San Sebastian 2018, sadly, announces that the Classic 2018 will not count on the GPS tracking of cyclists. This decision has been taken due to the refusal of Velon, an association formed by 11 WorldTour teams, to collaborate with the organization to improve the safety of cyclists.

You gotta wonder what the organizers were thinking. "We changed the route and put a murito at the end of the race and suddenly nobody wants to attack from far out anymore? I guess we have to use a different murito then"
That's exactly the kind of thinking I expect from a cycling organiser

Only two pages in the thread of one of the nicest races on calendar?!
I'm disappointed.
Saturday afternoon in August. People are on holiday
No resting while reconstructing! ;)
Also the race has been incredibly boring so far. But not very surprising with the final Murito
I've never watched this race before. Did it used to be largely flat for the last 30k?

Unfortunately for those who crashed, they just don't have time to get back on even if they weren't really hurt, so it will greatly reduce the final peloton.

Anyone know who is the Movistar rider who is still down?

Never mind, he was just identified as Landa as they are putting on the neck brace, so that doesn't look good.
