infantino goes like a TGV in the time trial right now.gotta say he remembers me,keeping the proportions, of a certain lance armstrong with those massive shoulders.his style of climbing is pretty awesome
Raul Meza is a fox but we will never know.will10 said:Infantino's performance in the TT reminds me of Sevilla in the Vuelta Colombia....and not in a good way. Sorry.
Escarabajo said:I have good feelings about Infantino though. We'll see. He'll probably end up in Europe in the near future.
Escarabajo said:Just like in La Vuelta a Colombia, he lost his podium in the TT.
Henao lost also serious time in the TT in Colorado.
He lost Two Vueltas a la Juventud to Uran because of TT.
He has serious issues on this department. Sky needs to work hard on his TT with him.
Congratulations to Infantino. What a great Champion.
Sorry Ryo but I think your are nitpicking. I hope you are correct. But I am afraid he has some issues in this department in general. Not just an specific mountain.Ryo Hazuki said:this was a mountain itt25 km/h ring a bell?
do I need to remind you that he won vuelta colombia partly because of his long flat itt where he was 5th. also he didn't have his itt bike in utah and colorado
he also lost tremendous time in antioquia in this same mountain itt up santa helena. he just really sucks up the santa helena climb probably because it;s steep. henao has serious issues with longer steeper climbs this year in colombia
Interesting thought. I am still positive about Henao because of something that Duartista said before: he minimizes his losses when in a bad day.Ryo Hazuki said:it is an unregular climb with steeper parts. on every long and steep climb in this years colombian calendar where he participated he couldn't follow the best. this is not the henao of junior or early u23 years when he was also 5 kg lighter and rode much lighter gears. botero made him more a power rider and improved enormously his sprint, downhil and also itt, maybe for europe this will just be perfect, botero should know. in utah for instance he was the best climber with leipheimer while he was not in topshape. trying to build to rcn. we will have to see and wait but right now from the golden 3 I see only duarte as standing a chance winning a true gt

For some reason I only saw Duarte as the most favored to win a GT also.
Now we might have to add Betancur and call them the Golden 4.
I think being more bulky for Europe might be better, so I kind of agree with Botero in that count. Maybe it translates into being more consistent. We'll know next year.
Don't you think Quintana is too small?Duartista said:If I had to bet on a Colombian winning a GT in the next 10 years it would probably be Quintana. He is potentially the best climber of all of them and defends himself better in TTs than all except Uran. Also, from reading interviews and stuff, he seems to have a very good head on his shoulders.
Not really, although I guess it could happen that he loses too much energy on the flat. Heras was under 60kg, for one example. How heavy was Herrera?Escarabajo said:Don't you think Quintana is too small?
Very few small riders have won GT's in the past such as Van-Impe.
I have him on 140 lbs. He won the Tour of Spain. So maybe he can win that one. Belda did a podium there in 1981.Duartista said:Not really, although I guess it coupld happen that he loses too much energy on the flat. Heras was under 60kg, for one example. How heavy was Herrera?
