Since we are entertaining requests....

I would love to see more pics of AC with the St Bernard he won on the Verbier Stage. It's the funniest thing I have seen in cycling.

In the only photographic evidence I have found online, his new best friend looks just a little tooo happy.... :p

I took this at a local crit. The guy one the ground, had already been dropped from the race (he was in A grade), and coming around the corner, he was riding on his own and managed to somehow crash. It's a sharp corner, but anybody with the slightest bit of corning skills will get around it, even in the bunch. What made it even better is that this guys is as popular as a fart in a lift.

Further proof, as if you needed it, that you do not mess with the Badger

Phil Anderson doesn't look very impressed either. If that was a mountain stage I'd be p!ssed off too if I was either of them, the spectators could have cost them the race!!!

I don't know why that guy is running away, he should be proud to be assaulted by a legend of the sport!

Looks like the flairy nostrils of a young Phil Anderson joining in too, and who'd want to mess with him?

Notice the Basque fans in the top left corner.

And notice how most of the Liquigas team packed at the Koppenberg so they could get beer and 'dogs on the Kapelmuur instead.

If I recall, the protesters had set up camp on the descent of a minor col, which means that the riders had quite a fright coming 'round a corner at top speed and seeing the road suddenly full of people. I think that's a big reason why Hinault flipped out -- not that he didn't enjoy a good knuckle-duster anyway.

But do a youtube search for "hinault punch" and judge for yourself.

If you watch the video, you'll notice that the guy who looks like he's running away screaming with his hands in the air is actually just waving his arms, yelling slogans, and then happens to look over his shoulder for a brief second. The magic of photography!

(Also notice a slightly alarmed looking Stephen Roche at left, partially obscured behind a middle-aged dude. And note the legs of two onlookers standing on the grassy hillside above the fray. What I wouldn't give for one of those seats!)
