I'd say that the guys who will get the results will be
Duarte
Atapuma
Suarez

Also Chaves could be a surprise and get some results...

well atapuma has great climbing legs, but last year he was destroyed by the european peloton tempo on the flat . if he can manage that problem, then he will get result.
pantano will do something good
chaves is stilll very young, he has to build up e complete maturation

i expext obviously duarte and suarez and i am very curious about osorio, whjich somebody compared to indurain.
i realized too that corti is trusting him a lot, that gives me faith

They know that! and they talk about a bit in the video... I'm pretty sure that they will focus on that during the season... his calendar is totally focus on Europe...

They tested the Punta Veleno which will be featured in Trentino this year today.

The Colombian riders were in their element, and they showed their quality right away. Esteban Chaves stood out from the bunch: Colombia Coldeportes’ highly-regarded young prospect lived up to his pure climber’s reputation, anticipating all of his team mates and other athletes from Trentino (Daniel Oss, Moreno Moser, Alessandro Bertolini) who wanted to join them in this test.

Prediction for Etruschi - Forero takes an honorable 15th place, everyone else suffers like dogs on the totally flat parcours :D

Nice video. A little cold for these Colombians.

Could you recognize who was ahead on the climb? I have problems recognizing these riders. I know the pedaling style of Duarte only.

They mainly focused on Chavez. I'd assume another one was Victor Hugo.

The riders do keep mentioning the cold given that they're not used to it, but they do seem to be in high spirits.

I was just looking at the Haut Var website and it seems Coldeportes didn't get an invite in the end. Along with the cancellation of Sardinia, that means they'll have a pretty light racing programme going into Tirreno-Adriatico, which is unfortunate. Giro di Reggio Calabria is now the only stage race on their schedule for February.

The highest placed rider for Colombia-Coldeportes was Jeffry Romero, crossing the line in 27th place. He was actually supposed to be the final leadout man for Juan Pablo Forero.

Thanks. And I appreciate that you keep updating the South American cycling thread and this one.
