Bernal waved Henao ahead of him, Henao has GC surely. Only 4 behind and gets 4 seconds. Why is there any uncertainty?

Sergio =/= Sebastián.

I'm aware they are not the same person, thank you.

I had thought I'd seen some colour (other than pale blue) on the front of Bernal's jersey: I should have thought to check for sleeve bands.

Wow!
Bernal won this.

Broadcasters were so confused at the finish thanks to the cameramen!

I was thinking why is Dayer celebrating?
Then I thought Sebastian was Sergio, LOL.
Then I thought Daniel was Rigo. Haha.
Finally everything was cleared up!

I want to believe that Bernal is in a much better fitness than Quintana and Rigo. Otherwise this is really scary!

Bernal already rode TDU so he has to be in better shape than Q and R.

Rigo said that there was bad communication and he played the wrong strategy when he saw that breakaway was reached on the last kilometer and Egan was ahead. Dayer also stated that he lost complete communication with his team. So basically it was a no radio race on the last kilometers. LOL. :D

Bernal Officially declared the winner.

Wow.

That young man has a brilliant future without a doubt. I only hope and pray SKY won't be an obstacle in his meteoric career

Agreed. I genuinely don't think Sky have invested in a talent like this just to play domestique to 'the Brits'

I think with the public split from British Cycling, having a British leader is not so important in the long term for the team now.

IF Team Sky has a long term future, Egan Bernal is it

Hint; Sergio is the one with the championship stribes. :p

Good win for Égan. I wouldn’t make too much of him beating the likes of Quintana though. Unless Dayer is all of a sudden the equal of Nairo, this result is all down to relative fitness levels at this point in the season.

At least you only mixed up people who are on the same team...
Though, why were you confused about Dayer celebrating? He won the stage, pretty good reason to celebrate. I didn't watch, did something odd happen?

I don't know about the other members here but I got confused. Between the poor camera work, the confusion of the commentators and having cousins and brothers riding for the same teams I got confused!!!

Add to the confusion the no communication, therefore riders start turning their heads more often.

Oh well, Egan is a very deserving winner and actually was the strongest in this race. Somebody said here before that Egan was going to win the Colombian championship by leaving the group while Uran and company kept watching each other. Well it happened here. Lol. That also sends a message early on to Quintana and Uran that instead of being too defensive, if they want to win, they should attack or take the initiative more often.
