Commentary on TNT and other WB brands

just checked again, and I think she says "Jon Mould". PCS lists him as from Newport, so Wales would fit. He mentioned it when talking about the sheep.

Aha Jon Mould, damn should have guessed that as there is a connection with Eurosport I overlooked 🙃

Jose called him John Bult when she introduced him, neither in a Welsh or English accent, disappointingly, I then muted the coverage as I can't stand her commentary these days so missed any further welsh references.

But he probably spent too long in Manchester with TeamGB and lost his Welshness, not that i know what a Newport accent is like, but it's near Cardiff and that didn't sound like a Cardiff accent for sure

I have many a times complained about Carlton Kirby's insistence on using cycling races as his personal standup comedy gig, and it seems like 2025 will be no different.

Today at UAE tour: "You know that The Flintstones is not overly popular in this region, Not many countries like it but Abu Dhabi do"

Then he bursts out laughing at his own joke while Matt Stephens shakes his head (confirmed by Kirby himself). How long do you think he worked on that joke @the delgados?

I wont go ambient sound in the UAE tour but when the serious racing starts @the delgados - We all know when to tune out. The man is so full of himself.
Superb joke, well done Carlton. If you can't find joy in excellent dad jokes like these, I'm not sure you can find joy in anything.

Pozzovivo: Abu Dhabi do! I admit to being easily amused, but that's a funny comment. Thanks for reminding me that the 2025 pro cycling calendar is underway. There's no one other than my man Carlton Kirby who I would listen to describing a boring stage in a windswept desert. He adds spice to a bland meal.

You know, I often feel like I'm talking into an echo chamber when it comes to advocating for my man Carlton Kirby. Sometimes I think I might be best to get a hobby, but when I listen to the words coming out of CK's mouth during the finale of a race like Het Volk, I feel the need to remind the world that my man Carlton Kirby is unfairly maligned. Check this out. There's much to talk about here.

Did I really miss out on anything?

Does the thread title get changed?
Since last year when GCN got fold into Max, American viewers have had far more races to watch, instead of only the ASO races which are still on NBC/Peacock.

I suggest a title with TNT and Max in it would be appropriate and useful.

Kirby bad
Quigley good
Sigh.
I'm aware that even youngsters with an underdeveloped vocabulary dislike my man Carlton Kirby, and I'm here to say I blame it on the parents. They go around saying goo-goo, gaa-gaa --Carlton Kirby sucks -- and eventually it begins to seep into the little brat's brain. This phenomenon has gotten to the point where parents are being deprived of an important part of their lives. Rather than saying "Da-da" the first words out of the little brat's mouth are "Carlton Kirby sucks."
This is an outrage.
