Always appreciated!Sporza commentary: (didn't know where else to post it)
In Dutch: "Didn't start today: Robin Froidevaux, he had a cold & Hugo Page, he turned another page"
Thought I'd leave it here for all the polyglot posters to enjoy.

Relax, I'm now leaving him alone.Apologies! I tend to get defensive when it comes to criticism of CK. It's a knee-jerk reaction that comes from years of defending my man CK on this forum. I think it's a form of PTSD, but please carry on. Nothing to see here, folks.
Bien sur, copineCan I enjoy it, even if I'm not a polyglot?
Can I enjoy it, even if I'm not a polyglot?
Jose Been detractors might want to argue that point.Relax, I'm now leaving him alone.
I've come to realise that nothing can as bad as the Jez Cox style of commentary.
I don't know about the polyg part, but you can be a lot at times![]()
Short a lotYou always poke fun at me for being short, but now you're saying I'm a lot?!
Presumably that's like English commentators talking about Sandy Casar getting married and Felix Grossshartner being generous , and just assuming that the listener would get it, although there is no real phonetic clue.Sporza commentary: (didn't know where else to post it)

It's possibile that he confused Cyprus with the island of Capri, at least that' s what I hope for. StillKarsten Kroon "Cyprus is a country, I thought it was an island of Italy."
Followed by: "I went there on holiday once"

I was expecting to hear Carlton do the difficult job of the first 200k of MSR but I must say, even though I kind of missed all the anecdotes about eating and drinking his way around Italy, I enjoyed Robbie and Nathan talking actual cycling.
Now we have the horse racing commentator for the finale.
Never quite understand why TNT/ Disco or whatever do more than one commentary in the same language. McDonald with Rowe and Walker also on duty.Carlton did the women's race with Brian Smith.
I missed the race and its corresponding commentary. What kind of actual cycling did Robbie and Nathan talk about for 3 hours?I was expecting to hear Carlton do the difficult job of the first 200k of MSR but I must say, even though I kind of missed all the anecdotes about eating and drinking his way around Italy, I enjoyed Robbie and Nathan talking actual cycling.

According to Mielke, the Maltese flag is the Polish flag, turned around.
No... no... that's the flag of Monaco!
It's both of them, but you obviously only have to turn them 90 degrees.
Kirby and Smith were working for another broadcaster, not TNT.Never quite understand why TNT/ Disco or whatever do more than one commentary in the same language. McDonald with Rowe and Walker also on duty.
That's what was confusing me, I guess it's like when Quigley was doing UCI comms for a bit, there's a local feed and an international feedNever quite understand why TNT/ Disco or whatever do more than one commentary in the same language. McDonald with Rowe and Walker also on duty.
