He mentioned everybody except the guy who won and then spent 5 minutes buying for time because he didn't know who it was (or even what team it was seemingly). And yeah I remember hearing that Valverde/Bilbao mistake, haha

Cheers Argyl. No Canadian races again:(

EDIT - The Bike Channel is showing Tour of Fjords and Tour of Britain :)

Not sure if ES are showing the two Canadian one dayers or not, the new ES guide only shows a week ahead.

Thought BIKE's picture quality much better for the two stages of Tour des Fjords so far. Though a solid block of Declan a bit much and his mic was very distorted today.

I usually stick up for the guy, but he has gotten a lot worse at calling sprint finishes.

My guy screwed up, no doubt about it.
But he immediately owned up and apologized for his mistake.
I don't blame the guy for taking a nap after trying to fill hours of dead air. Granted, he chose the wrong time to fall asleep,
That said, name another older cycling commentator who hasn't screwed up after calling several years of cycling races. Moreover, name one person who wouldn't fall asleep at the helm now and then.
Let's face it, folks. Most bike races are boring to watch.

Mixing up riders is reasonable but teams as well?

Like I said, he immediately owned up to his mistake and apologized.
Really, it's not the end of the world.
I hope he doesn't have a twitter feed; no doubt the criticisms are relentless.
I really like how Carlton lights up and animates the end of a stage. Generally he's very good at doing so.
That said, try to put yourself in his shoes and fill hours on end of dead air while following a peloton that always catches the breakaway.
I'm surprised he actually stays awake, especially considering the deadwood sitting beside him. It's not like Kelly is a laugh-a-minute guy. sometimes I tend to drift off before Kelly finishes a sentence.

Rather disappointing to hear Kirby totally misquote Quintana on the power meter issue in a really unfair way in order to not only defend Froome but to praise how amazing Froome is. It's not just bias but unethical to misquote a rider like that in such a negative way. Reminiscent of the love affair that Phil and Paul and Bobke etc had for Lance Armstrong and US Postal. This was during the earlier part of stage 10 or 11.

The italian commentators some days ago said that Eurosport has live coverage of Tre Valli Varesine this year.

Today there is also Brussels Cycling Classic on Bike Channel (but i think only in the italian version of the channel).
