In the TT it's Linda Villumsen and Alex Dowsett for me. Aus taking silver in the men with any one of their three young guns and Pooley to edge out Shara Gillow for silver in the women's.

Dont know where you got that from. It is merely used as an indicator for the Olympics in 2 years time for most sports. Its getting more attention because in the UK because its hosted in Glasgow but normally people couldnt care less.
It's just so random... but in the case of track cycling it does feature the strongest nations.

Why isn't cricket part of the Commie games? If there's one sport that appeals to the Commonwealth, and the Commonwealth only, it's cricket.

Looks like it's between Pooley and Villumsen in the women's TT although Pooley's time has not been picked up in the first check for some reason.

EDIT: Pooley just 1 second ahead at the 1st check.

Because certain key national administrations (particularly India & England) are deeply opposed on two linked issues. Firstly, their players playing in a tournament over which they have no influence and they receive 0 revenue from.

To the women's TT. Villumsen had advantage at 1st time check but Pooley finished the stronger. Garfoot (AUS) started mid field but her times stood up to all bar the "main guns" and finished 3rd. Archibald (SCO) had a strong first half before fading. Gillow (AUS) was the usual Shara Gillow ..... disappointing and faded to 6th.

Pooley lead by a second at the 1st and 2nd check and then by nearly 8 seconds at the 3rd split. Villumsen came back very strong on the slightly downhill run in though.

My bad !! Recall it being a sec either way at sector 1. Villumsen DID finish well.

Commentator mentioned Dennis currently sidelined by Garmin due to signing elsewhere for next season. BMC mentioned as maybe the destination.

Denis was four seconds ahead at the final check. Looks likes he could be struggling though. Might be a win for Thomas

Nope. Denis sets the fastest time! Only Dowset to come in now. Was five seconds behind at the final check

Bummer, the wrong Aus girl came third! Otherwise a perfect call :)

Well done to Linda Villumsen in TT think she deserved it after all her placing over years in bigger TT. Men TT was great contest as well.

“My time trials have been good but the problem is there have been a lot of seconds and that needs to change around starting this week.”

A good deal of quality in both fields
and excitement in both races.

Time now to shift focus to Round 1,
Heat 1, lane 3, women's 100m. hurdles
bib # 1069 Shelly Jenneke (AUS).
It will be a big ask for her to advance
to the final, but best of luck to her.

Damn, so close for Emma, would be great for her to retire with a win. Don't think the RR will be tough enough for her to win it since she'd pretty much have to win solo.

More or less the only opportunity for Thomas and Rowe to represent Wales, and Kennaugh for the Isle of Man.

Really looking forward to seeing how Stannard performs. Cummings also, but he seems to down for the Tour of Poland which starts on the same day?

Start list info a bit thin on the ground. Very jealous about your commute:)

Thanks but I wouldn't be too jealous of my commute - my route takes in only some of the more 'functional' roads used in today's TT. Admittedly there are some quiet and scenic roads to ride near me but none feature in my commute, more's the pity.

Villumsen has really stepped up since she started working with Marco Pinotti, he's really helped her improve. Durbridge looked tired, Sargent went out way too hard and Dennis got impatient I suspect. Excellent ride from Dowsett though, well gauged.
