Kiwis royally ***** that up.
Then again, they did nothing all day, so just deserts.

The best thing about it was the post-race interview where Steele made comment that he wanted to do a Matthew Heyman, which I guess he did, 7 weeks after his injury, minimum on the road riding, and came out an won the race!

The biggest certainty was Hosking winning the women's race - Followed up her good form in Europe.

NZ were largely responsible for the insane pace early in the race. Riders from minor nations were struggling 3-4 kms in!

Still, to have your lowest finisher in 16th place but no medals...
