From AC's Non-Apology

"fair play is very important" and "it's not my style "

I'm calling BS on both of those statements.

AC can say it as many times as he want to that it's not his style,
but the video of him attacking, driving up the mountain, pulling Menchov and Sanchez, is unmistakable and will forever speak louder than just saying "it's not my style".

If AC really wanted to apologize to Andy,
why not go to his hotel?
why not call him?

The answer to those questions is obvious.
He's not sorry.

I don't understand the meaning of a public excuse.
He should do that to Andy, if he really thinks he has done something wrong.
He should have apologized for saying he did not see Andy got a mechanical... really he must have been blind to not see that. :D

That's really not comparable at all. It's cobbles ffs! You cannot race on cobbles if you're gonna wait when someone's affected by a crash or flat, which would make having a pavé stage totally pointless. It's nothing like launching a ferocious attack in the mountains BECAUSE the MJ had a mechanical.
It so funny how we talk.. "ferocious", "vicious", "mean" attacks when the guy is the one we don't like and "courageous", "beautful" "epic" attacks when it is the guy whose chamois we are sniffing. "We are the world , we are the people" and the band was playing in the background. When can we start speaking about cycling?

So it was never about the yellow jersey, only about the GC contenders. It is good we have put that argument to rest.;)

That's right, and Contador attacked both when the man was off his bicycle.

Be serious. You really think the yellow jersy on stage 3 of the tour is the same thing as mountain stage in the final week between the tour established competitors. The yellow jersy actually means something at that point.

However, the cobbles are not a normal tour environment. Crashes and punctures are accepted and nobody ever waits like in the tours. If was a normal stage then they probably would have waited for Chavanel.

That's why you don't want cobbles in the tour. Doesn't mix.

I think the apology works for Contador's advantage since it defuses the anger Schleck has against him, and thereby reduces the motivation Schleck would otherwise have to exact his revenge.
